November 5, 200817 yr IMO I think PS should be above them. PS IMO is a much better team then them. I will say that Michael Crabtree is the best WR in the nation. Hands Down!!!! Also will TT make it through the rest of there season. Oklahoma State @ Texas Tech-??? Texas Tech @ Oklahoma-??? Edited November 5, 200817 yr by THESportsANIMAL
November 5, 200817 yr What has Penn State done that would justify them being ranked higher than Texas Tech? I mean besides playing in a much easier conference, having no huge win, etc....
November 5, 200817 yr Penn State beat Ohio St. on the road. That is impressive no matter how you want to slice it. Tech beat Texas at home. I think folks are both underestimating Penn St. and over estimating Tech. If Tech wins out, I'll back off, but I don't see Tech winning this weekend against the Cowboys from Stillwater, let alone beating Oklahoma. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2641 Here is Tech's schedule. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=213 Here is Penn State. Have the Nittany Lions been world beaters, no. They did beat a ranked Illinois team and crushed Wisconsin in Madison (and that win in the Horseshoe). Tech's schedule is not that impressive either. The Big 12 is tough, but they haven't played the tough part yet. Kansas at Kansas looks good, but their next best win after that and Texas is at K-State. That is hardly a resume that says to me they are definitively better than Penn St. They also avoid Mizzou. I just don't think a team should be punished for having a bye, which is what IMO happened to Penn St.

November 5, 200817 yr Those two wins for Tech you mentioned are better than anything Penn State has on their resume.... If you honestly think that Kansas at Lawrence is the same as beating Ohio State in the Shoe, then we can agree to disagree.
November 5, 200817 yr OSU was a good win for PSU. Texas was a great win for TTECH. Texas Tech deserves the better ranking for belonging for the tougher conference and playing the tougher schedule.
November 5, 200817 yr If you honestly think that Kansas at Lawrence is the same as beating Ohio State in the Shoe, then we can agree to disagree. Texas Tech 63 Kansas 21 Penn State 13 Ohio State 6 Yes, that Kansas win is much more impressive.
November 5, 200817 yr I just don't think a team should be punished for having a bye, which is what IMO happened to Penn St. You couldn't me more wrong. Tech was rewarded for beating the #1 team.
November 5, 200817 yr I think just as legitimate of a question is, what has Alabama done that is far more impressive than what Texas Tech has done?
