Biggest bust in fantasy

Featured Replies

I took Santonio Holmes pretty high... I don't remember how high, but a lot higher than I should've based on the year that he has had.

Steven Jackson has had a couple of good games, but he's not been too solid for the most part for me.

On the flip side, Tim Hightower and Matt Ryan have worked out quite nicely.

Braylon Edwards has been mine.. I selected 5 WR's in my draft, Edwards was my 3rd round pick and 1st WR I took.. I was very fortunate to get Andre Johnson, Anquan Boldin, and Lee Evans in the draft while risking not taking a QB until Round 8 when I got McNabb and Warner in Round 10.

Good gosh. You are loaded and drafted well.

Carson Palmer, Seldon Young, and any Lion.

In the keeper league, man, where to start? Probably my biggest mistake was keeping Ryan Grant. Certainly it was a mistake to keep him over Brandon Jacobs. #2 bust was Roy Williams. Mostly what destroyed me though was RB depth. Like I said, Grant was a mistake, and MJD is/was still a future pick. Beyond those two I had nothing at RB.

Outside of this league, looks like my biggest bust has been Marshawn Lynch. I have him in every other league I'm in, and while he isn't awful, he's not playing like a #1 guy. I have Houshmandzadeh in a couple of leagues, and while it's not his fault that he's not getting points, 6 points a game isn't going to cut it (though consistency is nice).

Joseph Addai

He's definitely been a disappointment.

I took Tom Brady with the 3rd overall pick in my draft, so yeah...

I picked Steven Jackson at #4 in my draft. I don't think he's been that bad (prior to the recent injury).

His worst game was in Week One when he scored 7 fantasy points. Prior to his quad injury, his fantasy production through six games was as follows: 7, 8, 12, 24, 8, 35

He was consistently getting around 100 total yards. I can live with a guy who gives you a minimum of 8-10 points every week with the ability to produce much bigger games. The frustrating thing to me is that just when it seemed like he was hitting his stride and about to bring big #'s every week, he gets hurt. I'm really concerned with this quad injury and how he's going to produce down the stretch. I need him healthy and in my lineup.

Jackson hasn't been bad... I guess I just expected more.

I always draft the running back coming off the holdout... It never fails.

Lesson learned?

You just never know in fantasy football. Injuries play such a huge factor...and not just injuries to your player, but to his supporting cast. Look how many WR's have been destroyed or severely hampered by QB injuries...Moss, TO, Chad, TJ...

...or O-line play or injuries have adversely affected MJD, Big Ben, Fred Taylor.

And, then, if you're like me and draft well, overcome some injuries and just have the fortunate luck of playing the only team in the league that scores more than you 3 out of 4 weeks, what can you do? :irked::madman:

Other guys who have been major busts, IMO:

Larry Jonson- Chiefs (Just plain out bad and cancerous)

Roy E. Williams- Lions/Cowboys (bad team, now just not enough looks)

Willis McGahee- Ravens (injuries, too many RB's sharing carries)

Marvin Harrison- Colts (Too many other weapons and still not back to his normal self)

Laurence Maroney- Patriots (Injured, too many other backs, lost superstar QB)

Maurice Jones-Drew- Jaguars (BAD O-line, splitting carries)

E. James

Edge never really had high expectations. He is getting old, is injury prone, and was playing in an offense that was without a doubt going to be pass reliant. I intially drafted him as a #3 back and it was late when I got him. I think he was something like the 24th or 25th RB taken in our league.

Derek Anderson for me, thank goodness I picked up Kurt Warner way back before he was Arizona's starter

Thats exactly what I did. Great minds think alike...
