November 4, 200817 yr His record against the Gators/Dawgs/Bama the last few years is something like 12-23. Players in trouble. Losing recruits to SEC top teams. QBs Insiders were surprised he got the contract extension with the buyout. Darth Visor says..."I'm at my last gig". Cuttcliff said no. Coach Fulmer hasn't made many friends with some people who worked for him. I was hoping he was gonna stay a few more years.

November 5, 200817 yr NO WAY its Cowher IMO... Cowher will probably not be interested. He is just who the money men that paid Fulmer's buyout want. Their other choices, I've already mentioned.
November 5, 200817 yr I understand UT hasn't had the best year, but Fulmer has done a great job while at Tennessee.. 150-51 record, 8-7 bowl record, 2 SEC titles, Nation title, and he has finished ranked in the top 25 in 13 of his 17 years.. Add in being a former player, GA, Assistant, over 35 years on the UT sideline. Hate to hear it. Good Luck Fulmer:thumb:

November 5, 200817 yr I NEVER thought I could feel sorry for Fulmer, but his press conference was very sad. I love it when players show loyalty to their coach. I guess I need to keep in mind the way Fulmer did when Johnny Majors was having his problems! A side story about majors. Years ago, I was at a clinic that Majors was speaking. I was sitting in the lobby waiting for Majors to go on when he came around the corner with his brief case in hand to go into the clinic area to speak. In order to get into the clinic, you had to have on a badge that indicated you were registered at the clinic. Majors didnt have on a badge and the uniformed security guy stopped him. Majors tried to explain that he was a speaker and needed to get in. The security guy explained that his orders were not to allow anyone in the clinic without a badge on. At this point, he told the security officer "Im Johnny Majors" to which the security man replied "I dont care if your a GENERAL, you cant get in without a badge." We were rolling on the floor. The clinic director saw what was happening and came running to clear it up. Classic!!
