If you are a friend of Ashland. I wouldn't want you as my enemy. JC is not a good team. They are a "GREAT" team. I would say maybe STATE CHAMPS this year. Just try and be positive. Support your boys. Cause when there gone and turn into men they will remember things like that. Just a couple of weeks ago everyone thought he was Great. Wow unbelievable.

I think you may be right about JC. I havent seen them nor do I have a dog in the fight but, football people that I respect say that JC may have the best team the mountains have seen in a few years. I know thats a strong statement...I didnt make it. I am really wanting to see them!!:thumb:

Everybody always thinks that they know more than the coaches.

It has been that way since the begining of time and it probably will never change, no it will never change. You just have to roll with it and keep on doing what you do. :thumb:

It's the oldest profession in history. "Coach said don't eat the forbidden fruit, oh coach doesn't know what he is talking about, we can eat that fruit". And, so it began.

I got worried for a second...I thought you meant the other oldest profession!!!!

Raceland has practiced in Shoulder Pads/Helmets/shorts and 5 pocket girdles ever since the preseason has been over. How and what you practice in is different for every team.

Interesting. Didn't know that. When I played we went helmet only on Monday and Thursday. Full pads Tuesday and wednesday. I think shoulder pads and helmets do need to be worn at least.

It all depends on what you are trying to get done that week in practice. I will say this though, do not change your routine in the middle of a season and expect your kids to respond. Football players are creatures of habit, break the routine and you will not get what you want that week.

I totally agree with you and the score of the last Ashland game reflects this...

I guess if you are getting killed you shouldn't adjust your game plan.If you have injuries you may have to rest some or All of your team by limiting contact. The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and hoping for a different result!Your team lost to a superior team plain and simple. It's not your coaches fault that JC is a superior team. You could play them 100 times and would lose every time.:madman:

and I could hit the lottery tonight.....

If a team is beat up, sometimes its best to keep the contact to a minimum to help heal.
