October 28, 200817 yr And people think Obama is "best for America" right now. Wow. Why does Obama not understand that the majority of people making minimum wage are those that are young working a job for the first time? What's wrong with working hard and working your way up the ladder? This country is turning into a giant daycare and they want daddy Obama to wipe their noses and rear ends for them and this is just what people like Obama want so they can be relevant. All people seem to care about is themselves, they've never known a world that put others before themselves, and believe that the needs of the individual should come first. I'm disgusted by the entitlement mentality of so many in this country and Obama seems to be exactly what they've been waiting for. What in the world ever happened to "ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country"? Without a doubt:thumb:
October 28, 200817 yr They will destroy small business As a business owner myself, I will be very honest in saying that I am truly worried for the first time ever. I wasn't a big Clinton fan, but he didn't actually "worry" me with his policies. And Hillary didn't "worry" me that much either with her possible rise to the presidency. Obama will destroy everything in his path if it means increasing his voting constituency.
October 28, 200817 yr Without a doubt:thumb:Ignore the part that explains why he isn't. Can't say I didn't expect it. Gimme, gimme, gimme...

If not, well hard times for most. I shudder at the thought.
October 28, 200817 yr True story as related to the KY min wage increase. Now understand this is a small business with the majority of the workers part time or second job workers. This specific business has approx 25-28 workers. That includes people who are contract laborers. The income level of all workers varies quite a bit. When the second round came it pushed up our min wage workers to a level that was closer to some of our other part-time (although more long term) workers. At that point a group of them got together to "demand" that they be given an equal raise to what the min wage workers were given. There were about 12 of them. As a matter of fact they threatened to sue...lol...if not given a raise. So we eliminated 5 of the workers, gave two a raise, and told the other five we would/could replace them. Since that time we have given most of those a small raise too. Long story short we eliminated 5 positions to get our costs down and required the remaining workers to make up the slack. Our tax revenue to the state actually decreased!!!
October 28, 200817 yr Ignore the part that explains why he isn't. Can't say I didn't expect it. Gimme, gimme, gimme... Not ignoring anything. Just feel like "most" Americans and believe it or not, I have that right. BTW...Having a huge victory party on Nov. 5th if you would like to attend.

October 28, 200817 yr ^ If it can be done, then great. I am in no postion to determine if it would work, or not. Kinda like most of us on here. However, when it comes to the work force and the economy, I do feel better knowing that Obama will be part of the decision making.

No one said you didn't have the right, just funny how you brush off things you don't like hearing.

If not you wil be fined. Have we heard how much that fine is going to be. Good luck.:thumb:
