How anyone could think this is a good idea is beyond me. This would destroy the economy.

:thumb:Good one.

Most of Obama's economic "ideas" will do that.
The more I think about it, this announcement, while appealing to his base of young voters, ... will not fly well with the more conservative 'on the fence' voters. The more I think about it, this could be a bad campaign move. With the lead he has in most polls, I am surprised that he is going this route. I am not surprised by his proposal, but by the timing of it. It is not a way to 'run out the clock with the lead' IMHO.

For somebody who is supposed to understand the economy so well, this is a bad move IMHO.

Don't think it will really appeal to the young College voter, as

my daughter and a bunch of her college friends lost their jobs this year at MSU due to the last increase in minimum wage, and even those who got lucky enough to keep their jobs lost hours but work harder! They now understand that just because the government raises the minimum wage, doesn't mean that the employer has to pay it, they just make those they keep work harder and less hours!

Most of Obama's economic "ideas" will do that.

I dont think so and at least he has idea's.

Yeah, very bad ones that will sink the economy, like this stupid minimum wage idea. Like I said, gimme, gimme gimme.

It will be ok.

It will be ok.
I really hope you're right, but with Obama at the helm, I think the ship will go down awfully quick.

So who cares if his ideas are terrible, heck at least he has some....That's a terrible way of rationalizing a choice for president.

Yup, that's it. That's the only reason why most of the Country is voting for him.

To be fair, you haven't addressed a single idea in this thread. You said you were happy that Obama is part of the decision-making process, but you haven't replied to the widespread assertion that many of his economic policies would cause problems for the economy.

Until you (and other Obama supporters) address the issues, they will be accused of supporting him for reasons that are not issue-based.

I agree with you, I think.

I think the middle lower class would soon become members of JUST the lower financial class because of the reasons you state.

Yea that's pretty much what I meant.:thumb:

Without a doubt:thumb:

I take it you didn't read the rest of the post. Just like so many others out there, only hear or read what's convenient to them.
