I think it will be Mueller from HHS and he does deserve it, but with Highlands being good every year I would like to see the Conner coach get it as he has completely turned things around.

I'm with you Dale Mueller is NKY Coach of the Year, with a great supporting cast.

 

Your right! Awards and recognition like this doesn't come unless you surround yourself with quality coaches. I don't think there's another staff in the state of Ky. as good as the one at HHS. Although, Dale does set the standard and makes sure his coaches follow his lead. He deserves the title of Coach Of The Year.

I would have to give alot of consideration to Woody McMillen at Walton Verona. For a first year team they've been pretty competitive.

I'm going with Buchanan, too. He lost his entire offensive live, starting quarterback, plus several key defensive players. Several in this group are playing at the college level. Yet, he's coached his team to a district championship and a first ever win over Russell at Russell.

Noel Rash at Beechwood would have to at least be mentioned.With all that graduated from last year,I do not htink they were expected to be where they are.Unless you are part of that program.

If we're going to go with someone who turned a program around, then it's Trosper from Conner hands down. 1-9 a year ago to hosting a home playoff game.

 

If we're talking about the best coach then it's hands down Dale Mueller of Highlands. A lot of his accolades reflect his assistant coaches as well though. He and his coaching staff are all on the same page which is why year in and year out Highlands has one of the best programs in the state.

Conner had a great year. But the coach of the year, hands down should be Highlands Bluebirds coach Dale Mueller. Not only is he one of the best coaches in the state, great role model for his players, he has complete respect and control of everyone around him. How many coaches do you know that gets out on the field and runs punishment laps with his players, and if I did'nt know better or not I thought I seen him smiling as he was running funs-n-bunches. Great Job, It makes you proud to be from Northern Ky to see programs like HHS!!!

I think Coach Billy Martin from North Oldham should be considered. Coach Martin is in his third year. The first year, he went 0-10, last year we went 8-4 and so far this year, the Mustangs are undefeated. To take a team from winless to currently undefeated, I think takes an amazing coach and Coach Martin should be considered.

How about Randy Borchers from Cooper? He had to start a program from scratch, try to get players from 3 different rival schools to bond and become teammates, and get them to learn a new offensive and defensive playbook, not to mention do all of this with school construction still going on and Cooper not having a locker room until August. Cooper also won its first and second varsity games in their first year and have vasty improved from where they first were to now.

If Thompson from Boone County doesn’t win it is a joke. His team was picked to finish fourth in the district after losing a ton of talent and they dominate NKY 6 A again this year. Trosper had a good year but still lost to Boone and they are a 4-4 team at the best 6-4. Thompson is 7-1 and could be 9-1. Mueller has done a great job but everyone expected Highland to be very good this year.

 

The job that Thompson has done out at Boone this year is second to none.
