Penn State 13 Ohio State 6

Featured Replies

If an 81 year old man can coach a team to a national championship, a movie should be in the near future. What a story! I'm happy for JoePa.

However, I don't know if either team could beat Florida right now. And in the end it could possibly be a Penn State-Florida title game.

I think both parties are a fraud and a drain on out society. Much like being on Ohio State fan... :D

I always sleep so well after OSU loses :thumb:

I"m sticking by my pick of Penn State/Florida in the title game as well. Florida is playing better than anyone in the country and this was PSU's last big hurdle.

That foundation imo is being built on sand, we will see. I love it as well how the Michigan fans (well, only a couple really) hardly post on their own teams threads when they are having a bad year but live to jump on another. I am sure than when and if Michigan starts winning again that you will be back on your teams threads posting and claiming an all time fan . I can spell it out for you.............b-a-n-d-w-a-g-o-n.

GO Buckeyes!!!!!

Great season for the Buckeyes that returned 20 starters to play for a NC. I find humor in the fact that Buckeye fans try to talk character about RR in threads but are either clueless or purposely ignire the fact they have one of the dirtiest coaches in college football. Michigan football will be back. I have supported RR from the beginning so for the time being I am sticking with his vision for Michigan. Here is a newsflash to buckeye fans, at this point in time both them and Michigan are irrevelant on the national stage.

Celebrate good times come on!!! CELEBRATE NOW!

Didn't expect this one to be 3-3 at the half..

Beanie was ineffective from the start, and when he is the Buckeyes will have serious trouble as their passing game, which was good tonight, isn't always there.

Pryor played well, especially in the passing game. He wasn't able to run so he showed the doubters that he could make plays with his arm.

The Buck's D played very well, they just got dealt a bad hand after the stupid fumble by Pryor.

Penn State is good, and OSU done a great job tonight by holding that explosive offense to just 13 points. OSU should finish up at 10-2, and make a nice bowl game, while Penn State should end up at 12-0 and who knows if it will be the Rose Bowl, or the NC game.

With Wells/Pryor playing like they did against Wisconsin and Michigan State this team is dangerous, but with Wells not being able to pop a yard a carry and Pryor only getting what little rushing yards he did, it will be hard for them to win. Great game, I enjoyed the defensive battles and the big plays when they came..

Jim (Little Game)Jim Tressel shows his true colors again tonight.

H did not put his team in any position to win this game.

QB 1 is not a pocket passer why try and make him one?

QB 1 needs to get that hitch out of his passing motion to me this is what makes hs ball floats as badly as it does.

The 0-Line might play softer than the Newark Catholic front line(Sorry guys but the truth is you guys never lived up to your ability this season)

The one good thing in all of this is no matter how badly Ohio State played or is this year they are still better than Kentucky.

Tressel has lost some big games lately, I agree, but the man has also won some HUGE games in his career, so don't call him little game Tressel just yet :thumb:

Also, his team had a 6-3 lead, but Pryor made a mistake doesn't protect the ball and they lose it. It's not Tressel's fault Beanie Wells played as poorly as his did, or those big penalties on defense from Washington either.

Pryor isn't a true pocket passer no, but how can you down his performance tonight? They take away the kids best attribute, his running game, and look what he does through the air? Come on now. Also his throwing motion if fine, sure it looks awkward but he gets the job done, he can pass just fine..

Alex Boone is a great offensive lineman, you can't argue that. As for the rest they didn't open up the holes like they have this season. Don't say they are a soft O line, look what they did for Wells/Pryor in the Wisconsin and Michigan State games.

Ohio State is better than Kentucky this year, hands down..

I liked Penn St when I was younger and there is always some good ribbing with my old Buckeye friends from college. Buckeyes played better than I expected. Penn St might not be as good as I thought. All in all it's hard for any true college fan not to be excited for Joe Pa! Texas/Texas Tech is a huge game next weekend. Bama and the other SEC folks are in such a better confrence than the Big 10 but it would be exciting to see Joe Pa win it all at 81 then step down.

The fact that you are comparing OSU football with UK puts a smile on my face. UK has come a long ways! UK has had some HUGE wins in the SEC which is more than the luckeyes can say as of late. I guess if you can say OSU is better this year I can say UK was better last year becasue they beat LSU:rolleyes:

I believe I saw PSU had 0 turnovers and 0 penalties. That is how you win a tight game. Congrats to them.

This was maybe the most boring game I've ever watched....

With that being said, the one time I ever want to see the Luckeyes win, they have to choke it away. What a joke....

I guess now I have to root for Texas and Bama to win out so we don't get another snoozer in the title game....Penn State would get demolished by the Big 12 or SEC champ (or USC). This game made that obvious.

:thumb: I 100% agree.

I will comment on ths bolded.......

1.) I thought that Pryor still showed too much indecision in the passing game, he got the ball to the recievers too late a few times/not throwing the ball when they were open. Pryor imo still is having trouble in picking up his 2nd and 3rd recievers if the main reciever is covered.

2.) I agree on the OSU defense (as wel as the PSU strong defense). I also agree that the fumble was the turning point that gave the ball to PSU in great field positon.

3.) Penn State is very good and deserved this win. I love to see tough defensive football games. The Buckeyes just came up short on this one.

Congrats again to Penn State.

I want Texas vs. anyone but USC OR A SEC TEAM.

You better hope it is Texas vs PSU only chance either team has to win the title.:thumb:
