October 20, 200818 yr So, here begs the question. Our best offensive player (Carson Palmer) either is or should be out for the year. Now, arguably our best defensive player is out for the season. Now, we know that someone is going to step up for this team to win. You may think this team is headed for 0-16 (and, on paper, I'd agree with you), but, this is the Bengals. Undoubtedly, they will finish with 4-7 wins. Why? Simply because it will ruin their draft choice, and therefore lead to even more 6 win seasons. So who is going to step it up and start playing well, on both sides of the ball?
October 20, 200818 yr The hit on Rivers was nasty. You would have thought the Ward played LB instead of WR:lol:
October 20, 200818 yr The fact no one laid Ward out later says a lot about the heart of this team. They are a joke top to bottom.
October 20, 200818 yr The fact no one laid Ward out later says a lot about the heart of this team. They are a joke top to bottom. Exactly how do you lay out a WR without a penalty? Ward will get his due at some point. Tough break for Keith Rivers, but he'll bounce back. And, for what it's worth, I'd say Robert Geathers is our best defensive player.
October 20, 200818 yr Ward will get his due at some point. QUOTE] What does that supposed to mean? It's rediculous that he keeps getting fined, he's playing football. Maybe if someone on the Bengals had half the heart of Ward, they wouldn't be 0-7.

He is saying that next time the Bengals play the Steelers, Hines Ward will be, to say it nicely, put on the sidelines if you catch my drift.

October 21, 200818 yr Bengals receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh saw nothing wrong with the block. "The guy doesn't see you coming, who doesn't do that?" Houshmandzadeh said on Monday. "Keith didn't see him coming, he cracked back on him and it just was unfortunate what happened. But every receiver in the league would do that, if they had an opportunity. They just don't get them too often."
October 21, 200818 yr I have never seen so many people celebrate a young man (with a promising future) getting his jaw broke. That's why Bengal fans are upset, and it just HAD to be the Steelers to do it. Just like with Palmer. Clean/Dirty/legal/illegal-who cares? The team/squad are vulnerable, and losing their first round pick (probably one of two good picks the team has made the last decade) getting his jaw broke, then getting blown out, then falling to 0-7 is hard to take. It's even harder to take when the guy gets up and does an uncoordinated dance like he ALWAYS does. I ain't gonna lie, I can't wait until the day I see him get it...legal and not dirty of course.
