Can Russell regain it's composure for an important district football game?

Not, Mason by 14.

Royals win by at least 10, the offense is on a roll and coming off a good homecoming win they will be ready for Russel.

Depends on how the coaches call the plays.

This, as usual, will be a very interesting game. Russell is the one team that is on Mason County's schedule year in and year out that Mason can almost never beat. Lots of close, entertaining games, but Russell almost always finds a way to win.

Mason's offense is clicking, but they still get pushed around on defense too much. "Bend but not break" may work against some teams on the schedule, but if Russell pushes the ball up and down the field, it could be a long night for Mason County.

All of the cliches will come into play - field position, ball/clock control and turnovers will in all likelihood determine the outcome of this one.

Depends on how the coaches call the plays.

Depends on who wants the win the game more Russell or Mason.

IMO Mason has more athletes but Russell will control time of possession. Mason wins by a TD.

That’s a true statement. From the 98 season to the present time, Russell enjoys a 7 – 1 record against Mason Co. That single loss came in 2001. Also during this time span, Russell beat Mason in 2007 and 2002 playoff games. It’s worth noting that from 2003 through 2006, Russell did not play the Royals during their brief stay in what was then Class 3A.

This is a home game for the Devils and that may give them enough of an advantage to pull of an upset. Neither of these two teams are as strong as in recent years…but it’s a district game and I expect both will be primed and ready to give it their best effort.

I believe the Devil's will be flat after the SK game and will lose by a couple touchdowns. We will see how much pride these boy's can dig down and find to get back on track.
