Oh my, I'm getting old when I miss that opportunity. Love the history of the cannon btw.

I like that idea. I think it would be neat on top of the press box and fire it the same time the cannon goes off and have the confetti fall on the crowd.:banana:

 

Now you are on to something. This would be a great way to get the women involved. Put them on top of a press box thats ready to fall down and have them blow confetti at the cannon crew while they blow the cannon at them. :thumb:

Boom has never shot more than a 6oz shot!!!! And that's only to start of a game. That's what we call the "Welcome Shot". The remainder of the shots are 4oz loads which are way way below what the guys before me use to shoot. With the right type of powder and proper packing technique. you don't have to have a big load.

There has never been a woman in the crew. Women have fired it (heck, Henry has fired it plenty at non football events), but there hasn't been a woman on the official crew. Then again, to the best of my knowledge, no woman has ever asked to be part of the crew.
