Boyd County does have the best player on the field in Wilson, and now with the emergence of the Arthur kid at quarterback, he's even more dangerous because Boyd can move Wilson around at running back and receiver. Ashland now has to prep for a running QB, and a throwing QB. The Daily Independent had a good article about the Boyd/Lawrence game and said that even with Arthur being "green" and not getting a lot of snaps he played really well and he's only going to get better with playing time. Arthur adds a whole new dimension to the Boyd attack with his throwing ability. This should be a heck of a game at Putnam. I can't wait to see it!

I think he has warmed up to the players and put them in a position to succeed.

No. His father lives in Mt Sterling. He moved from Ashland a few years ago.

Should be another Ashland -Boyd Co. classis. Both teams seem to be improving each week. I look for another close battle between these two rivals.

I have to agree with you on this one. Wilson is really good but I think Carter is better. He is a hard back to tackle.

No. His father lives in Mt Sterling. He moved from Ashland a few years ago.

Actually, the Arthur kid is from Ashland originally, moved to Mt. Sterling, then went back to Ashland when he felt he wouldn't get an opportunity to play quarterback at Montgomery. Tough loss for Montgomery with him.

This game will be a war. Unless I am mistaken, this group of Tomcat seniors has never lost to Boyd. If that is the case, will Ashland give the Lions enough respect? I have no doubt that Boyd will come into Putnam fully expecting to win.

 

Im really looking forward to seeing Wilson play…it sounds like he is the real deal and will be a worthy opponent for the Ashland defense

My brother-in-law is a Boyd Co. grad and my niece is a teacher in the Boyd Co. school system so my pick will make the family picnic this week interesting.
