Agree with other Posters -should be a very special game. I do feel that this X team is far better than the last few. T will have their work cut out for them. Do not feel either BG or Cincy X - were on the same level as the Tigers.

“NFL Films to Feature Trinity vs. St. Xavier Game!

Louisville, KY – Trinity High School has granted the National Football League license to film the high school football game between Trinity and St. Xavier on Friday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

NFL Films will feature the contest on the CBS network as its “game of the week” on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m., providing worldwide coverage to Louisville’s “fall classic.”

In addition to game footage and commentary, ancillary school activities at school during the week of the game, practice footage and interviews with coaches and players will comprise a documentary the NFL plans to produce.”

 

It’s about time this game is seen on a national level! This is always a great game! I think the difference maker will be Trinity’s balanced attack on offense and Cameron Smyth’s threat to run. Also, the depth on the defensive side of the ball. Score: Trinity 24 – St.X 10. GO ROCKS! #19!

The party get's started today, 5:30 on Shelbyville Rd. when the JV's rumble. This will be the JV Tigers first real challenge since the Moeller game back in August of 07. This will be the first time this group will enter a game as underdogs. This JV Rocks squad already has soundly defeated Cincy X and is a new and improved version of the 07 Freshmen Rocks. IMO, the Tigers will have to play inspired, perfect, mistake free football to have a chance in this one. Good luck X JV's and may we have an injury free contest for both teams!

I think that what Trinity learned about St. X's new defense last year, scheme-wise, it's returning and emerging talent, and Smyth's playmaking ability will give Trinity an edge against a very talented and physical St.X defense. On the other side of the matchup, if Trinity's defense continues to play as it has (and I don't see any reason that it won't) I'm not sure if St. X will be able to score more than 10 points. Trinity's defensive personnel is as good, if not better, than it has ever been and they play very physical and fast. I see Trinity winning 21 to 10 in a very hard hitting game.

Yes...after watching film of the JV Rocks dismantling Cincy X a decision was made to bring down some JR. offensive linemen for the saftey of the Tiger offensive backs.

I'm realy looking forward to this game. Both teams have seperated themselves from the rest of 6A this year like none previous. Two very good teams will take the field this Friday night. Unlike most years, there are numerous D-I stars on both teams. If the weather holds, it'll be the largest crowd ever. Good luck to both teams and let's keep all healthy.

Whiting and Messina draw a lot of deserved attention and accolades...but the real test is whether X's offensive line can block a very quick and nasty Rock D-line. If not, it will be a long night for the Tigers offense.

After witnessing the debacle on Paul M Young Field last Friday, I have to say Eastern is more talented than Manual. I believe the Shamrocks will take this one 17-0 based on strength of defense, offense, punting, and overall coaching staffs. The fact Trinity has played once already at "the Slice" this season must be worth 3 points. I believe Trinity has faced a tougher schedule and come through without any serious injuries. Rolandan Finch, Jr does not appear to be as fast due to injury. Two QB system employed by Xaverians last Friday may not be as effective against Trinity. Trinity DBs are better than any St. X has faced.
