This is the first time in many years that I have not seen at least one T game before the St.X/T game and I usually know what to expect. T appears to be better on D but not as strong on offense, St.X is just the opposite, the offense is more balanced with the passing game combined with a solid ground game, the defense is good but maybe a bit down from last year. I will give a slight edge to the Tigers based upon the offense which may be the best in years. I know the T defense is good but they have not faced a team that can pass and run like this group of Tigers. The St.X defense bends but does not break in this one. X-21 T-17

How is St. X's front 7/8? I'm once again concerned about Trinity being able to run the ball on this tough defense. I'm not sure the young offensive line for Trinity, at this point in the season, is able to consistently create gaps/holes for the backs to get positive yardage. Thus I'm anxious to hear about X's front 7/8.

D-line is solid, senior dominated. Linebacking corps is young and improving each week, led by a sophmore(Beech) and junior(Snellen) who are both first year varsity players.

Did anyone attend the X-Trinity luncheon at the Galt House? Great turnout for a great cause(catholic education foundation). Beatty gave a moving talk about his greatest memory from the rivalry being in 03 when his players carried his sick Dad onto the field after beating X. Glaser had the funniest memory-- Coach Lampley being run over by one of his own players. Beatty also commented that after watching CincyX and Don Bosco play(X beat Bosco, and Bosco just beat #9 De LaSalle) he thinks Lou.X and Trintiy are both deserving of being nationally ranked.

Before I start any smack talk or sarcastic puns, I do think these two schools are as good as they are because of each other and I hope the day never comes when one loses the luster it has. I'm proud of several things in my life, two of the main ones are in my BGP name.

You know- being devil's advocate I could use the the same thinking and say some X supporters would say it is not the last 6 out of 7 or any of the 18 years T won championship. So you are right. This is this year.
