Highlands 61 Covington Catholic 0

When the current Cov. Cath. seniors were freshman I made the comment that this was one of the worst classes Cov. Cath has seen in a long time. I don't know if Brossart is a great coach or terrible coach, but I think he is lacking horses right now.

Do you think Rodenburg saw the writing on the wall!!!

What was with calling a time out with 4 seconds left and down 61 - 0 just to call a hail mary pass which by the way ended up in GINO GUIDIUIlLI's hands.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

WOW!

It flew by our heads first!!!! It went by and someone said what the heck was that.:scared:

He had a goal from the very beginning, which he achieved this season. He was never in it for the long haul at any of the schools he coached before Mo.

Academics have and will continue to be the number one focus of CovCath! It has always been that way and it will continue to always be that way.

As you grow older you will understand that the fun you had playing games was just that, fun but the education you received at CovCath will pay off many, many times throughout your life!

You hit the nail on the head....

I will never understand why any team kicks the ball to Collinsworth. Add the fumble on CCH's first possession and CCH was done.

I don't say this often and I hate to say it, but it was a sad display of football by CovCath.

We will kick it to him in the state finals but it may be 5 to 10 yards deep!!! :D

Is Highlands really that good or is your district really that bad? Good thing you guys play some quality teams through out the year or it would be miserable to put up about 700 points in 10 games. :D:D:D

On a lighter side I wish I could see you guys play Hoptown saturday since that is a common opponent of ours.

I guess the east side of the bracket is already wrapped up now you guys just have to wait and see who you play in Dec. JH, BG or OHS.

The more I think of this game the most amazing stat to me is not he score or even what the score could have been. Its the fact that CCH didn't cross midfield until one minute left in the game. I'm positive I've never heard of that in a game with two teams of this level. NEVER.

I wouldn't be too sure about the east side yet. While I do agree that it would take a bit of a miracle for HHS not to advance out of their district/region, Johnson Central is playing very well and should not be overlooked.

One game at a time, please! :thumb:

Like any coach always says in the playoffs it just takes one bad game and being high school football anything can happen. I may drive down to Hoptown this weekend and see you guys play.

We definately wanted to play you guys last year with our big defense but I think these boys this year are playing with a chip on their shoulders since all the preseason talk was how Owensboro was going to be so down with all the seniors that graduated.

Good Luck this weekend for those of you that keep things in perspective and for those of you that don't I hope your players do not get as cocky as you.

So True JB as Oregon St. showed all of us last week anybody is beatable on any given night.

I agree' date=' But also the Compton youngman runs the ball hard too.[/quote']

It's in his blood. ;)

(Especially against CovCath.)

I agree. Family ties or not, I can't wish him well.:fight:

Coach Ray left before the first half was even over.

The one of the greatest Colonel's, Lynn Ray, seemed to have lost all faith in the Colonels.

Maybe Coach Ray needs to come out of retirement and coach CCH next year to get this program back to respectable status because Brossart has ruined it.

I can't see Brossart still coaching next year at CCH.

I would give him at least one more year. Heck, this is only his second year and he is still dealing with the monsterous schedule the Rodenburg left. The athletes that are at Cov. Cath now are not the numbers that Cov. Cath. had back in 05 and '06. Rodenburg stepped into a sweet situation there with an exceptional group.

I would give him another year under a schedule that is more realistic and I think Cov. Cath. will be fine.
