I am glad that this thread got the response that it did. I was a little worried about what would come out of some of the posts, but glad to see that there are many songs that influence some BGP'ers lives.

Many of the songs named are awesome and I completely can see where they are coming from. One of my new favorites is Toby Keith "She never cried in front of me"...it doesn't mean as much to me now, as it would have a year and a half ago, but man it still makes me think...

Keep them coming.

I feel ya with that Toby Keith song,... and yea girls are just plain weird, that's the conclusion I've come to.

"Find Out Who Your Friends Are" Tracy Lawrence w/ Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney

"Back Where I Come From" Kenny Chesney

And one that's more about personal memories for me than lyrics is

"Paint Me a Birmingham" Tracy Lawrence

And I agree with sportsfan41 that Brad Paisley has a lot of songs that could fall into this category... One I'll throw in is:

"Little Moments Like That" Brad Paisley

Also a big fan of this one.

Came out when I was having hard times with an old girlfriend. Had just dropped out of college. Joined the army, only to tear my ACL when conditioning, just had surgery, and was about to start school up again. It was definitely a hard time in my life.

When I Get Where I'm Going - Brad Paisley

This was the last song played at my Grandpa's funeral. I love the song but get a little chocked up every time I hear it.

That is one that I had forgot, I love that song and is defintely a favorite of mine. I also get emotional when I hear and think about friends and loved ones that have passed on:cry:.

I told everyone in my original post there would be several that I would forget, I bolded the ones of yours that I really like. Also, "Amanda" by Waylon and "I remember the year that Clayton Delaney died" - Tom T. Hall, that probably is not the exact title but is the main chorus/verse of the song.
