The other day AIG's (American International Group) stock plummeted to just above $2 a share. Immediately after the announcement by the Fed concerning the bailout of AIG, I promptly purchased 1000 shares of AIG stock at $2.23/share. Even though I am a licensed investment consultant, I rarely purchase individual stocks opting instead to engage in mutual fund investing. But every once in a while, I dabble in stocks.

 

That said, since I purchased this stock just to have a little fun with it, I am turning to the members of BGP to vote on whether I should sell it now and take my short term gains or hold onto it and see what happens. Since we are dealing with such small dollars, I am basing my decision on what BGP members say no questions asked. My fate rests in your hands.:thumb: My decision will be based on the vote totals as of this Friday afternoon no matter what the stock price is on that date. Have fun.

 

FYI, AIG closed at $4.72 today.

I would hold onto it, more than likely it will go lower, but it will rebound. At least I would think that it would, simply based on the bail out by the government and the economy will not stay in the depressed state that it is in now. My parents lived through the real depression and they always said if people had not paniced on Black Friday, things would not have dropped so fast or so far.

 

Keep a watchful eye and take your time.

 

Also I would not take what I say with a grain of salt, I don't have a crystal ball, if I did I would be a millionaire.
