I know everyone on here is predicting a Highlands win, or almost everyone, however, I do feel that Dixie is feeling pretty good and frisky after a close game with Cov. Cath. and I feel they are coming into this Highlands game with alot of confidence. Dixie will definately be up for this game, and I'm thinking Tom will bring them into this game with upset as the ending result. Dixie is feeling confident but GO BIRDS.

I'll take a good football team over a good cheesesteak sandwich any Friday night!

I really hope Dixie can make a game out of this. Each week, they seem to be improving. They're young, and still looking for the right pieces.

I just think that after playing Cov. Cath. last week and keeping it very close, that they are coming into this game with maybe alittle more hop in their step feeling that , hey we almost took it to Cov. Cath., we can hang and maybe pull out the upset over Highlands.

By the way, whatever happened to that guy that used to post on here religiously, I think he was Sandman or something like that. I don't think I've seen one post on here from the Dixie faithful. Where's your sense of school pride Colonels?

His boys have been gone for a few years now, so I can only assume he's moved on. I do miss him on the board, because he loved to ruffle people's feathers.

I don't remember exactly when but it was several years ago and you thought they won the dagone superbowl or something! I was very upset walking out having all those Dixie fans screaming all kinds of nasty things at us.

 

And, NO Dixie team is ever better than Highlands, not even that team, that year. I will never say another team is better than HHS!

 

We're probably thinking of the same team. I couldn't go that night because we were out celebrating my Mom's birthday. Dixie had a pretty stout team that year and I think Highlands was in the midst of the post-Lorenzen/Guidugli blahs. I listened to it on the radio. One of the guys I normally go to the games with described the end just as you did.:irked:

That is a ridiculous statement. Didn't by winning the game they proved they were a better team?? Actually, Highlands probably made it closer than it should have been. The only NKY Dixie lost to that year was Boone, and was very good, but ran into Brian Brohm and Trinity in the second round of the playoffs. To say what you said is simply ridiculous.
