Nope. All 3 of those school dropped Highlands. Had nothing to do with one OH game a year. HHS had to add teams like LexCath, Madison Central, Louisville Central, Hopkinsville, and Pulaski Southwestern to complete a 10 game schedule. Hats off to those schools for accepting the challenge that some shy from:thumb:

CC was always scheduled as HHS's 2nd week opponent. 2005 HHS 2nd week opponent was Conner, whom scheduled late due to CC dropping HHS. The Cincy teams were being scheduled the 3rd week with no conflict to the existing schedule. CC added West Jessamine in lieu of HHS. CC won 27-14.

That's because Tom has in the past gone public about some of Dale's on field coaching that he doesn't approve of. On the other hand, Steve won't do it, Not in Public. It's not Steve's style and please remember that one of Steve's ultimate goals someday is to coach at Highlands. Steve figures he will sit back and take his beatings for a couple years and maybe sneak up on Highlands and start beating them once or twice in the future. When that happens, Steve's coaching Stock goes through the roof.

 

Wow!!!!! I didn't know people were so touchy on who will be the next coach at Highlands. I guess what i'm saying is, drop it already. I can see Dale coaching until he is in a rocking chair. Why wouldn't you want him coaching!!!

You know that big numbers make me queazy.

If HHS is scheduled to play Ryle twice next year, the reason would be that the other 6A teams ( Conner, Boone, and Campbell ) won't play HHS. Highlands fielded one of their better teams last year, and I don't recall anyone complaining about how the games played out. So I ask you, why won't those big 6A schools schedule HHS?

HHS played both Elder (at PBS) and CC during the 2000 and 2004 seasons.

Thank you! I know that someone read all of it. No matter what, I will never acknowledge any other team as better than HHS, that is my allegiance to HHS and its my right. However ridiculous it may be, it's my entitlement. Sorry if the rest don't like it.

 

On the topic of Sandman, I do miss him. He was fun. I think that I speak for many who have posted on this thread in past years as myself when I say this thread is not the same without him.:confused:

As of 5:40pm there are 11 posters picking Dixie. I didn't even know that there were that many people rooting for them judging by the posts on here. Does anyone have some info on standouts at Dixie this year? I am out of town, missing the game just like JBwill. Is there going to be an updates thread????? Please help, losing my mind not getting to be at that game. My wife is going and she doesn't even like football!
