Boyle County 43 Danville 6

Featured Replies

Just got home from the game. The difference was on the front line. Boyle was much more physical even though they were smaller across the front on both sides of the ball. Grey for D-ville is very talented and so is Simone. Something else that I noticed was that the Danville offense seemed out of sorts all night. I watched the game from the Danville sideline and there was many conversations with players coming off the field about whether or not everyone was in the right position or knew what pass route to run and those kinda things. Boyle defense probably had a lot to do with that. Danville actually did not play terrible. They had a couple of turnovers and their punting game put their defense in terrible position all night. Both teams are talented and will hopefully represent the community well in Nov.

And December.:thumb:

Larry French is a fantastic football coach.

Wished we still had him at Meade:irked:

Statman, what did I tell you at the beginning of the week. A five touchdown victory for the Rebels, and baboom.

So, does this team look like the Rebels of old?

Great high school Football game to watch. I truly thought Danville would win going away. I was impressed by boyle countys line play.

I did.:D

Well you should have told us all so we could have made some money.

In a lot of ways they do. They are smaller but they swarm to the ball again, forcing teams to go east and west. Chuck Smith's defenses did the same thing, maybe he learned this from Coach French, I don't know.

On a different note, I was thrilled to see the shape the field is in this year. What an improvement. I have never seen it look this good.

GO REBELS!!!

Great job Rebels. This was a sweet win for Boyle County and all the fans. I agree the atmosphere, the field condition, the weather, everything about tonight was perfect. Great home opener. Did anyone get to see the WLEX18 highlights of the game (cool):thumb:, I TIVO it every friday night in case I miss it.

Go Rebels, full steam ahead.

RebelK, you would be doing the Rebel Rumble yourself if you could have seen these Rebels play. They really play hard and are forus on the game.

I will promise you a rumble like you have never seen if we make it to the state:thumb::D

REBELK I hesitate to think about Louisville this early in the season. But you are right it would be a RUMBLE.:fight:

Well you should have told us all so we could have made some money.

Oh,no,no,no I'm not telling you guys nothing, I want all the money to myself.:lol:;)

I didnt get to make it down to this game as I had to work. But I listened on the radio and dad said that Boyle defense is back to the days of old when Chuck had the boys swarmin' to the ball on every play. Congrats to the Rebels and Coach French, you are an A+ in my book sir!

Now that would be cool.:cool::thumb:

I wonder if Bolye had that many miscues against a team like Highlands or Bell County what the outcome would have been? I know there were a lot of "first home game jitters", plus playing Danville, plus these kids were also feeling pressure and not wanting to falture. Lots of things going on that led to the miscues. Coach French and staff are so strong they got them back on track in the second half. Wish I could hear those talks.

KEEP ROLLING REBELS. YOU ARE FOR REAL!!
