O-kay Rebel you can do the ....Rebel Rumble...but only once:lol:

RebelK, you would be doing the Rebel Rumble yourself if you could have seen these Rebels play. They really play hard and are forus on the game.

WOW!! didn't see this one comming!!!

I did.:D

I think Boyle's defense held Danville to a total of 3 maybe 4 first downs the whole game, one being the 92 yard td reception and another coming on a penalty. Great job by the defense and for the offense to quit making mental mistakes like they did the first 2 quarters. It was great to see some of the freshman get playing time in this game.

GO REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who would have thought that Danville a "passing" team BC a "running" team. The Ads had -19 yards on the ground. About 182 passing (92 on one play). Didn't get Boyle's stats, but Mcshara had 212 and was MVP. D is looking awsome. Congrats to the Rebels and the BC coaching staff.

Fun festive atmosphere at the game this evening. Both offenses sort of sputtered and were inconsistent to begin the game. The score was 15-6 Boyle at the half and Danville got the ball first to start the 2nd half. On Danville's 1st drive they moved the ball effectively into Boyle's territory and had a chance to make a good game out of it. But an interception stopped the drive, and the Ads never recovered.

Boyle's D played incredibly well and basically neutralized Danville's speed by forcing their running attack to go east/west instead of north/south. They pursued the ball effectively all night and it seemed 3 or 4 players were in on every tackle.

Boyle's offense was uncharacteristically sloppy initially, but Danville just couldn't capitalize on Boyle's turnovers. In the 2nd half the Boyle offense caught fire and moved the ball well with a balanced attack and the game slipped out of the Ad's grasp.

I expect great things from both teams going forward. Congrats to both teams for a hard fought game.

Just kidding TT. I agree - the INT to start the 2nd half was the straw that broke the camels back. If they score there, it is 15-12 or 15-14 and a whole new game. Instead, it was a backbreaking turnover and the game was essentially over.

Sorry couldn't get over to talk with you guys, had wife and daughter with me tonight.

Boyle's D came ready to play. When was the last time Danville was held to - rushing yards for a game? Danville's punter had to be tired.

Excuses, excuses! Tonight was:

Atmosphere - A+

Field - A+

Game - D-

Why? He didn't kick it over 20 yards all night.

He had a 47 yard punt after the safety.

That's not a normal punt. In actual punting situations, the longest one I can remember was 19 yards. I think there was at least one that was longer, but punting was a big problem for the Ads tonight.
