Gentlemen,

 

Do you realize that it cost $6.00 to watch one high school football game? You can see (I assume) four games for $8.00 and are you going to the game(s) to watch them, or going to the game(s) to eat? Bring a bag of peanuts, and a candy bar, and forget about buying at the concession stands if the prizes offend you!

 

BTW I can only assume that if the Ninth Region had so desired, the Tenth would still be playing at Mason or Montgomery Counties! The Ninth signed a long term contract with The Bank of Kentucky Center and I can only assume could have refused to allow the Tenth to play at BOK!

 

Don't know where you attend football games, but the last one I went to, about a week ago was $4.00 to get in. I guess my extra 2 bucks in savings won't buy me a gallon of gas but I it will get me 2 double cheeseburgers at McDonals.:jump:

Lets see CovCath, and Highlands, were $6.00 dollar, Scott and NCC were $5.00. I guess football like eggs are cheaper in the Country too! Of course three of those four teams mentioned were state champions not all that long ago! To whom did you get to see for $4.00?

I guess that pretty much explains what game I went to. Thanks Papa.

I cant believe you all are fussing over paying $8 to get in to see a couple high school games. Be happy that we have nice gyms to watch out regional tournaments in. I'm sure there are regions who hace much smaller gyms with seating issues that we dont have to worry about.

I can't wait to see the reaction once the tournament actual comes to fruition. I say give it a chance, then make your decision. Maybe it will be a terrible thing, but I think many will see some good hoops, and you may just enjoy it.

 

BTW, My wife and I had a nice little argument about the $6 football games a few weeks ago. I live by Conner, so we went to the SK/Conner game. I can't ever remember paying more the $5 for a regular season game, so when I get home my wife asked how much we would need. I told her $10, and she says, that's all I'm taking. We get to the gate, and it's $6 a piece, she opens her change purse and pulls out .60 cents, I open my wallet and I have $1, so we were .40 cents shy. No time to leave and hit the ATM, so she went home and I had to hitch a ride with my brother. Nothing like inflation.

That is what I say...give it a chance. You don't see any GRC fans complaining ( or at least not this one) and we have the longest distance to travel. I am looking forward to seeing all the games on Saturday.

Once again, not everyone is going to watch 4 games. These families just want to watch their team. Those kids are not going to sit for four games.

I have to agree with you there too. How about they provide day care for all the elementary school kids who only care about watching their team play and whose parents won't leave because they paid to watch 4 games. These kids are going to be wild, bored and drive everyone around them crazy. I even have a couple of small girls in my family they can entertain. Here we go again not thinking about kids.

I think its pretty much a given the Cards will be in the regional tourney, just as its the same for Mason County :laugh:

I think you can say that as well based on what is coming back and the talent that is stacked on both squads, but I am not going to make that a definite as I have seen too many weird things happen in sports. You will see me saying that once the districts are complete.
