Personally, I hate 2 aspects of this. First a $12.00 per person ticket price to leave and return on Saturday is ABSURD!!!! I'm sure the cost of food will be jacked up for this as well. Second a 2 game doublehead final on a school night makes it very hard for the small children. Yes there are elementary school kids to like to go to these games which would make it very difficult for them if their school played the 2nd game. I really don't mind the venue, the drive is much better for me than last year and I'm quite sure the potties will be just as pretty. But I think for at least the 10th region the tournament will lose the atmosphere which has always made the 10th region special.

 

Would you rather pay $8 and then pay $8 again? I personally think that the price isn't bad, I would gladly pay the $12 and know I can leave freely and still come back. I hate to see the long commute for many fans, and the late evening departures, but this is how things are in the 8th, 9th and 10th since the restructuring of regions.

 

They do this at the 5/3 but it is more than $12...

I haven't been able to watch much high school athletics since I came to NKU due to working the NKU athletic events, so this will give me a very ample opportunity to do so. I hope that I get the chance to work the games in some capacity. I have to attend parts of two days learning how to do things with the scoreboard and video boards in THE BANK starting tomorrow.

 

Oh and for those that are wondering why I always write out THE BANK the way that I do it because the official title of the arena is supposed to be "THE BANK of Kentucky Center". I was told this by my boss who was in turn told by others that work there. Most of you probably don't care.....lol.....but I just wanted to clarify that. LOL.

This will be a great opportunity for 10th region basketball. From what I have heard the details that Mustang and Athletic Director Mel Webster announced are correct. The only thing they neglected to say is that they had nothing to do with making this happen. Actually if not for the leadership of Campbell County Schools this would not have taken place. Also as I understand the officials at BANK of Kentucky have not released anything about the official notice is because they know that a contract must still be signed with Campbell County Schools. Looks like once again our friends have jumped the gun again in making announcements. It would be nice for people let those that put the program together to be able to announce it in a time frame that works for them. Just a thought.

I agree Lucky Charms, my point is that from what I have heard there are still things to settle that have kept the host school and the arena from making an announcement. I my world you follow a procedure or protocol in handing things. While I understand that in principle it may be settled, there may be issues that could change. Who knows.
