September 8, 200818 yr http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24525554/ I mean why even bother, crazy old scientists who don't care if the world ends or not.
September 8, 200818 yr I've known about this for a while and could not believe it wasn't mentioned before. To allow this to happen is crazy IMO.
September 8, 200818 yr Well, the world might be over in a couple days. It's been nice posting with you all.
September 8, 200818 yr I have no idea what I just read about in that article. Big Bang Theory, protons, and scientists spending billions of dollars on trying to find out about atoms. Sounds spooky, I guess.
September 9, 200818 yr Hopefully this just proves that there wasn't any such thing as the big bang and hopefully some people will finally start to realize that there is a God.
September 9, 200818 yr Hopefully this just proves that there wasn't any such thing as the big bang and hopefully some people will finally start to realize that there is a God. I find it interesting that the scientific field is researching trying to prove the existence of the Big Bang Theory but look down and try to prevent any research that might try and prove the existence of God.
September 9, 200818 yr Author The scary part is the scientists don't know for sure what will happen. They know microscopic blackholes will appear, but they are depending on one of Hawking's unproven theory's to save us. The theory goes that black holes radiate mass, and on such a small scale in a controlled enviroment the blackhole will not be able to absorb enough mass to stay in existence before it radiates its already existing mass. This type of proton on proton violence happens on a regular basis in the atmosphere when solar rays hit the atmosphere, or so they say. They say this is just where they can see what happens in the .000000001 of a second that this happens. However, the chance for a 3 proton impact is greatly increased, something like 140000000000 times because of the condensed state, if that occours they are not sure what will happen, they expect a big enough black hole that will eventually in about 4 years grow big enough to consume the earth. With actually puts it on date with 2012 theorists, so that's kinda weird.
September 9, 200818 yr I find it interesting that the scientific field is researching trying to prove the existence of the Big Bang Theory but look down and try to prevent any research that might try and prove the existence of God. Science and religion are two separate things. If God is "proven" to exist, why would anyone need faith? You can certainly believe in God AND the Big Bang Theory.
September 9, 200818 yr Aside from catering to these scientists curiosity, do they expect this to yield anything other than knowledge?
September 9, 200818 yr Author Yes it should yeild lots of advance technologies. The worldwideweb was a result of some of the first tests. It could lead to advances in health care and everything, noone knows for sure what will come of it. Of course none of that matters if the earth is a giant piece of dark matter. I have no problem with them performing the experiment as long as they proved Hawking's theory true before proceeding. Even if its not true the odds are still beyond astronomical that a cataclysmic event would happen. However, at what odds do you decide its okay to risk our planet and everything we know to exist? I'm not really worried as a christian that world is going to end, but a little concerned that people and governments would proceed with such endeavours without weighing the pros and cons.
