Science and religion are two separate things. If God is "proven" to exist, why would anyone need faith?

What's scary to me about that, is this thing is 17 miles long, weighs hundreds of millions of tons. So if there's a human error somewhere along the way, does it not work at all, or is it not nearly as safe as they'd thought?

 

Anyone that knows anything about science experiments knows that human error can have a HUGE role in the experiments, so do we hope there isn't one, or hope it doesn't end earths existence bc someone was too hungover at work one day......:creepy:

There will most likely be a break down in this thing but who knows, the wiring has to be cooled with liquid helium, its colder than the dark side of Pluto.

 

If the tubing was say to break, 1 particle would create a hole over 100meter deep in the earth, there are tillions upon trillions of protons in that thing.

Watched the special on this last night. The one thing that I came away with is this, they have no freakin clue what the repurcussions are going to be. It may work, it may not. They may kill everyone and re-create the Big Bang, they may not.
