What does that mean? I'd say there have been many presidents whose values didn't represent that of the majority. Doesn't necessarily make them a bad leader.

This "clause" means a person doesn't have to be a certain religion to qualify for the presidency. It doesn't mean people can't use that to decide who to vote for.

Probably because they figured the majority would decide what it believed in and about it's leaders.

Obama understands it is relevant to the individual voter. A Muslim is not electable in America in 2008.

After all of these months I can't believe that there is anyone that doesn't know this, but Barak Obama is a Christian and he has NEVER been a Muslim. End of story, no qualifiers, no explanations, no buts, nothing Nada, period.

I don't think acemona was referring to you specifically, but some others that share your disdain for Obama.

 

I've gotten so many e-mails this year about Obama supposedly being a Muslim and his lack of patriotism, etc. Most or all of them are scurrilous attacks that prey on people's fears. Those are just as bad as some of the far left's attacks on Palin.

When somebody says "people like you," then yes, they are referring to "you" specifically.

I would feel better about Obama if he was a moderate Muslim instead of a devoted follower of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's brand of Black Liberation Theology, which IMO, is far worse.
