BGP is an mostly an anonymous board where anyone, good, bad or ugly can log on and spout off about anything. I just happen to know Jed in the real world, and know him to be a guy that practices what he preaches. No more, no less.

Guys, don’t be hard on Fastbreak. He is just standing up for a friend. I know more than anyone else how imperfect I am. I do honestly believe, I am the Chief of Sinners. At times I speak when I should keep my mouth shut. I should have never said I don’t think Obama is Christian. I was just trying to make the point that his past history does not emulate what I was taught a Christian should be. I will continue praying for him and the other leaders of our country.

Hatz I can provide you with a list of people who say they see me in a different light or a light that doesn't seem to reflect Christianity? We ALL fall short of the glory of God.

Yes, he did answer the question. As for the second part of your question, Running an ad accusing McCain of saying that $5 million was the defining line for being "rich" is one example. The house question was another. Those ads have nothing to do with real issues. The constant attempt by Obama to paint McCain as a Bush clone are also pretty dishonest. McCain has been a thorn in the Bush administration's side and Obama has voted with Harry Reid over 95% of the time.

 

Complain all you want about McCain's ads. Lately they have been much more effective than Obama's ads but the tone and veracity of Obama's ads have been no different than McCain's ads. The difference is that McCain is more experienced and has grown a thicker hide than Obama. I have never heard a presidential candidate whine and attempt to play the victim card as often as Obama has done.

I mean, Obama's campaign has the makings of a textbook on what not to do in a presidential campaign. In contrast, I have decided to stop questioning McCain's strategy which has been nothing short of brilliant to this point.

 

I suspect that McCain will hold onto Obama's defense of infanticide and his lying about his votes on the issue as a trump to be played later. While Obama's paid goons and media volunteers are scouring the Alaskan countryside looking for dirt on Palin, McCain is sitting on a treasure trove of potentially devastating opposition research on Obama.

 

The way the the campaign is going, McCain may never need to play his trump cards. Obama is doing a pretty good job of destroying his chances all on his own.

 

If you do not remember Obama raising the specter of the race card, then you just have not been paying attention. He has repeatedly warned the electorate that McCain would by trying to scare voters into not voting for him because he does not look like the presidents on the currency, because he has a funny name, etc.
