September 8, 200818 yr When you have a player so absorbed with their self that they change their name to "8" "5", not 85, then there is probably problems with this team. OCHO STINKO!!!! I am now officially changing my name to "Spud greens". :D Oh yeah, Chad is definitely the reason the Bengals sucked so bad today. He lost that game for them.....
September 8, 200818 yr Should have never let Steinbach go. We had, IMO, one of the top 3 if the not the best O-line in the NFL 2 years ago with Levi, Steinbach, Braham, Williams and Anderson with Whitworth to back them up and now we got this. I really wish I could have had the courage to tell Mike Brown to pack up and leave Cincy when I saw him in person at training camp in Georgetown. About Steinbach, I said it he minute it happened, only to be chastised on here. All I heard is "he wants tackle money". "We need to keep Justin Smith". Now they tag a backup, again I question the move, again get hammered on here. I don't know if you people are getting much of this, but I am rarely wrong when telling you whats right and wrong about these teams. I spent the whole preseason telling you this O Line was no good, and again I was told I was incorrect. Sorry if you don't like what I have to say people. I guess we can refer to the old adage, "truth hurts".
September 8, 200818 yr I will be the first to admit I thought it was bad in Cincy. I guess I am not close enough to the situation to realize how bad it really is. Although they only gave up 17 points, there still has to be a lot of ???? regarding the defense. I still contend Baltimore is a 4 win team. Not the most ringing endorsement of the Bengals.
September 8, 200818 yr Oh yeah, Chad is definitely the reason the Bengals sucked so bad today. He lost that game for them..... I didn't say Ocho caused them to lose the game. Just that he is absorbed in himself.
September 8, 200818 yr We were completely out coached. The Ravens would consistently blitz 6, 7, or 8 people, and Carson had nobody to throw it to because every route would take at least 5 seconds to get into it. If we would just send someone to the flats or have a quick slant or anything, we could have turned those plays into something. The O-line was horrible. Carson had no time, ever. The D-line was bad too, as Flacco had all day to throw. And for whatever reason, I still can't stand T.J. Houzhmanzadeh. First of all, I think his face resembles that of The Great Khali. Second of all, he is constantly whining to the refs, falling over on his routes, not catching the ball, and just not being better than the DB.
September 8, 200818 yr Oh yeah, Chad is definitely the reason the Bengals sucked so bad today. He lost that game for them..... No he didnt lose it for them but he did NOTHING to help them win. He got smoked by a banged up Corner who physically manhandled him. Chad is a great marketer but IMO overrated and soft. They should have traded his butt when he caused those problems in the locker room during that playoff game in 2005. Packaged him and a draft pick for a Veteran Offensive lineman or something.
September 8, 200818 yr I was hoping Marvin would put in the second string recievers and the back up QB.At least Fitzpatrick can run if the line breaks down, they know Palmer won't run so they don't worry about it.Also maybe the subs would make the high priced starters wake up and want to play.Marvin always looks like he doesn't know whats going on.He was clapping his hands after the offense got a penalty yesterday.I think he should be in someones face and light a fire under them or sit them on the bench.

The Bengals constantly fail to account for blitzes by having WR's break off their routes. It looks as though Palmer is holding on to the ball too long - which sometimes he does - but for the most part he simply doesn't have anyone to throw to because they are still running their regular routes. Just another example of poor coaching by the Bengals staff.
