I guess I'll call Kristen tomorrow when the Athletic Office opens to be sure.

Why have we not heard from any of the BG faithful ? REally interested in getting their perspective - esp. after their victory Sat. night ??

 

I think you'll see BG play a little tougher than most posters are predicting. They are a solid team, and maybe they were last year but just lost to a nationally ranked team at state. BG usually can hang with the big dogs year in and year out. I don't look for this year to be any different.

Listen BG is a solid team, year in and year out, but Trinity is loaded (as usual). Seems like the Trinity fans last year thought they would blow BG out on their home field, and BG fought and maned up and played them toe-to-toe. And could've won with a few breaks. I give Trinity their due, they are a top flight program with unlimited funds, unlimited kids to play...on paper they should win by 3 TD's (or more). But, the game is not played on paper, it's played with the heart, desire and hustle. BG will rock with them, and I expect BG's defense to provide Trinity a tough test, but too many bodies at Trinity will wear down BG by end of game. But, you just never know... BG jumps out quickly, could put some interesting play in the game. No matter what, Trinity is favored big as they should be, but don't count BG out, they'll play their butts off and knock heads.

Rock's do not take any team lightly or for granted. I am sure they feel the same way about BG. No doubt last year was a heck of a game - hats off to BG. GAve the Rocks all they wanted and more. No reason to think this game will be any different.

 

Hope for an injury free game - on both sides.

Well said Jim... I agree, hope it's injury free, well-played, and the ref's keep their hankies in their pockets a little. I'm sure it will be hard fought and well played on both sides. Good luck to Trinity, but not too much...

Should be a great game! Looking forward to spending the weekend in Bowling Green for this game. Playing the Purples can only prepare us for the run at title #19... GO ROCKS! Final Score: T-38 BG-13.

Sorry PH and I have not posted...been a really tough week health wise for PH. I am sure he will be on this thread before the game on Fri. Anyway, we are excited to see you all! PH will tell you all where to find us at the game.

 

Anyway, T is a great team with much ability and heart. We did lose some great players, however, we have a great bunch of guys back and some new ones that can really play a great game. This team has heart and like stated in another post, sometimes that is all it takes. I am not going to put a prediction on this game, however, I think it will be closer than what some of you may think! I am hoping and praying for a win. That would be a wonderful thing for our boys and something that they will not forget!! We have yet to beat a T team, so, yeah, this would be wonderful!!!

Will the high school have any kind of cookout going on for fans tailgating? Does the T fan base have a plan re: eating in BG??? THX.

Brock "the Rock" Messina will be bringing the wood to the shed all night long! Trinity by a bunch. Purps get a good early season lesson...it will make them better down the road! Congrats for "steppin' up"!

BG is very well coached, has worked some kinks out by playing a game and should give Trinity all they want. The home field is an advantage and BG has athletes. I believe Trinity will come from behind to win by 14 points after the Rocks' OL settles in. Nobody makes better in-game adjustments than Trinity.

There is a section designated for all tailgaters in the parking lot beside the baseball field. Another thread mentioned Trinity fans will be staying at Holiday Inn/Plaza--if so, there's a great sports restaurant/bar near the hotel on way to stadium called Double Dogs.
