I agree, that person obviously didn't see the Ryle game because I thought for sure they were pretty much in the game up until the 4th quarter. Ryle hung with the Birds for 3 quarters, they must be pretty good.

 

I would say getting beat by 20 points not very competitive, nothing against Ryle. Colerain will be a good test for the Birds.

I'm sure there's a few teams right here in Ky that'll compete with them quite well...

As far as speed, I think Highlands has just as much. I am more worried about the size matchups that will go on. Colerain players look like they should be at UC or something. They are big kids! I know they also have the speed to boot, but SOMETHING in my loyal Bird gut tells me that Highlands is going to come out this week looking completely different than the HHS team that "sqeeked out" as some put it, a 20 point victory over Ryle.

 

I still take the Birds and will be over there to see for myself. Does anyone know the exact game time on Friday? 7 or 7:30pm?

 

 

You will see what SPEED is all about w/Colerain. I don't think HHS has as much although they are quick but I think you are comparing apples and oranges, kind a like comparing SEC speed w/Big 10 speed.

Have to agree. I would really like to see Highlands play well and win. But Colerain is still Colerain.

I heard that on the news the other night when they were showing Colerain highlights so I am hoping that its accurate. Maybe Cardinal fan can confirm.

 

 

Colerain has not lost a home game since 1999. Fact.

The Birds better work on execution this week in practice because this game is going to require 100% execution on every play if they want to compete. The Cardinals mean business and they haven't lost a home game in 10 yrs.

 

Im sure Dale will have the boys confident when they step on the field. I am looking forward to this matchup not only to see the Birds compete but also to see some excellent OHIO football.

If Highlands offensive line doesn't do a better job this week than last then all the game planning in the world won't help.

Colerain

The one weakness if any that the Cardinals have is Pass Defense. They have their hands full trying to stop Highlands attack. The Birds def has to stop the power running game of a young Backfield. And force CC in to passing situations. Recover a few turnovers, maybe score on specialties, And, I think the Birds should pull this one out. H-27 C-19

This game means way to much to Colerain, the birds will hang tough in the early going but Colerain will pull away.
