That comment is like saying if the Lakers lost Kobe or the Cavaliers lost Lebron, they would be better. Monroe is the Kobe or Lebron of Pendleton County middle school. And unfortunately for PC, the supporting cast isn't much.
November 3, 200817 yr Update on Summit View's schedule...1st game is Sat. night, 9pm, at St. Henry against St. Pius instead of on Tues. Apparently someone finally realized it was election day. Better late than never I guess!
November 3, 200817 yr I watched PC a couple of times last year and if you would have taken Monroe off the team, they would have been awful. He did everything for them. If the Birds can get 5 kids to average double figures and maybe their 6 and 7 guys to avg 8 or 9 pts they should win state. :lol:

Better late than never I guess! Good luck in that tourney. Highlands played in it last year as 7th graders and made it to the finals only to lose to a very good Tichenor team in OT. That is a very small floor so I would tell the kids to press as much as they can. Im sure the coach will see that right away.

Mon-6pm Birds vs tomcats (actually st catherine and st Thomas combined) 7:15 St Mary vs St Joseph Crescent Springs Tuesday-6pm Grey middle vs St Theresa 7:15 Conner vs St Joe's Cold Spring Game one will be like an AAU warriors practice featuring 6 HMS boys playing against the other 4 boys who play for the Tomcats. Grey and Conner will be tough and St Mary always brings strong defense. Its 2 and out with finals on Saturday the 17th at 3:30pm. Good luck to all of the teams. November 4, 200817 yr Q - Are the games all at Highlands? Yup, all at Highlands. PM me with your email and I can send you the brackets and how the entire tourney plays out. Basically 2 games each the first 4 nights. Then Saturday games start at 9am and last until 5pm. If you go to losers bracket you have tough road to go on Saturday to get to finals. Very similar to the SOAS tourneys.
November 4, 200817 yr I don't think camel 1 is trying to say Monroe is easily replaced, but last year I saw PC a lot and they had what seemed like 1 offense. The Other Offense was go with the flow of the game. You can't expect them to be as good but, they will be solid this year. They will have a lot more plays that work and will hopefully be able to execute them, since the have a very good coach.

I think there are enough folks on here that have seen PC over the past couple years as well and know the roster. They have a group of kid who love their basketball. They will battle and still be a tough game. Losing Monroe though is a major blow. Also losing the big fella who took up a ton of space down low hurts. He single handedly hit 2 big shots in both Highland games last year to change the momentum. Strong will be tough down low and they have a good shooter I cant remember his name but do remember he had a very nice shot both return. They are well coached and will be a competitive team. Will they be as good as they were the past two years, I doubt it.
