North Laurel by 2 TD's. That district has to win to prove anything to anyone. North Laurel at least plays pretty sound ball year round.

 

Lawrence County may have an easy district, but they fill the rest of the schedule with the heavy hitters in the area. The only one they didn't get was Johnson Cental. They did however get Blfry, Breathitt County, Sheldon Clark, Prestonsburg, and I believe Russell again. All that said, with a couple of good showings in the preseason, I'll go with LC, but no score prediction. It's just too early for that.

I think 3wishes is talking about their overall competition.

 

I have no prediction in this one. Haven't seen Lawrence County but know that while North Laurel is young, they do have some talent. I am just hoping for a good ballgame. I see a big season for Steven White. He is strong, runs hard and has been working hard for this season to begin. I also think we could see big things from Josh Miller and Rasheed Houston this year.

 

North lost a lot of close ones last year and I think if they ever learn to finish, they could gain some momentum and have a good season. North NEEDS this win to get off on a good foot.

From what I've seen of Lawrence Co this year, then NL is in trouble. I predict Chandler Shepherd will pick them to pieces through the air and on the ground. Dawgs 28 to 14.

They also pulled the biggest upset of the year the very next season in beating #8 Madison Central in double OT at the Jungle a few years ago when MC had not lost a district game in 4 years.

 

However, they aren't playing at that level right now. I think by the end of this season, they will be a MUCH improved team. So much young talent that has to mature quickly this year. They really need this win to get the season off in the right way. I think this should be a very good game.

They played good competition. They didn't have one cream puff on their schedule and they could've won at least 6 of those games.

Whitley County by 14

 

They only averaged getting beat by 14 points on a really good schedule.

 

The same cannot be said about Lawrence County.

 

The good teams they played really laid it to them.

NLHS lost some key guys off last season's 1-9 team.

How sound can they play to only win one game last year?

 

If they played someone else's schedule say Bell's this year for example they could easily win 4 or 5 games probally last year as well.

After gathering all the information I could, I am going to go with North Laurel in this one, ... but very close.
