August 14, 200818 yr I know it was all in good fun, but I would love to see Ocho and Phelps square off for charity kind of the same way Chad raced the horse. Phelps wouldn't waste time with CJ
August 14, 200818 yr You and a shotgun maybe. That would depend on how well DC can shoot at a moving target from C.J. flying by him.
August 14, 200818 yr Phelps wouldn't waste time with CJ I agreee, except maybe if it was for enough money and that money going to the right charity.
August 14, 200818 yr That would depend on how well DC can shoot at a moving target from C.J. flying by him. Got a 20 gauge, for those quick little bunnies. I believe I could get him
August 14, 200818 yr Too bad Chad just couldn't show Phelps the respect he deserves and answer the question honestly. Instead he has to tougue in cheek make some sort of point about something completely irrelevant to the question. No class
August 14, 200818 yr Would it not be funny if Chad actually won in this race? Didn't he out run a Zebra a few years ago? I have heard that Chad is a really awesome guy in person, anyone else hear that?
August 14, 200818 yr Chad is actually a nice guy, I just cannot believe he gets this many people rattled. Doesn't anyone understand he is just joking around? I mean he is ALWAYS joking around. It is just what Chad does. He is a jokester, a prankster, and he loves messing around. People take Chad way too seriously, and actually to the extent of being offended. I know everyone may not view his blend of comedy funny, but you still have to understand that not even 5% of the time is Chad Johnson ever being serious. He is intending to be funny, so why not laugh, because you know what, it is funny. Didn't anyone else see the whole interview, Carson Palmer coming in the shot before the Phelps question was brought up, and Chad was talking about how he was passionate about the Mens Basketball team and Michael Phelps while keeping up with the Olympics. For those of you saying it was a slap in Phelps face, how good would it make you feel knowing that one of the NFL's best players tuned in to the Olympics just to watch you swim. I know I would feel good about it. So what if he jokes around, thats just his personality, and you cannot fault someone for being who they are because that is the best trait someone can ever have is being true to their self and being who they are and not acting like something that someone else has drew you up to be. :thumb:
August 14, 200818 yr The Bengals could get attention or media time for being a terrible football team run by the worst owner in the league or for Chad Johnson being brash. I'll take CJ! Ill take that bet as well...
August 14, 200818 yr When Chad shuts his mouth, is on the field everyday not wanting to be traded and the Bengals win games then I will take a little better liking to his "sense of humor" until then I'm sick of the me guy in a team game! I know it was a joke but I don't care. Some people don't see through Chad and that's fine but for me right now he is a me guy in the ultimate team sport. He's asked for the spotlight on hiim but only wants it when it's positive. When it's negative he pouts and feels like he is picked on. This is the same guy two months ago trying like crazy to bail on his team!
August 14, 200818 yr Too bad Chad just couldn't show Phelps the respect he deserves and answer the question honestly. Instead he has to tougue in cheek make some sort of point about something completely irrelevant to the question. No class So if everyone that makes a joke is classless, I guess there's no one with any class left...Seriously, why does everyone overreact whenever Chad does anything?
August 15, 200818 yr Too bad Chad just couldn't show Phelps the respect he deserves and answer the question honestly. Instead he has to tougue in cheek make some sort of point about something completely irrelevant to the question. No class What? Refresh my memory as to what the words and nature of the question were.
August 15, 200818 yr The comments Chad had in the offseason are why I can't stand the guy. Has nothing to do with the Bengals either. Simply hate how he ran his trap this off season. He put his coach, quarterback, and teammates in a bad position. Now he's trying to be funny, which is a non-issue IMO. Sadly, for him, unless the Bengals can win, he'll fade into the sunset with fantastic numbers and won't receive much accolade. Frankly, the way he's handled his "business", I couldn't feel more upset for him when he ends up just an answer on the back of a trivia card. 10 yrs from now, kids will say, Chad Who?
August 15, 200818 yr :thumb: Exactly, a T.O. wanna be. You are correct about the Bengals being terrible and the management worse. All the more reason for C.J. to shut up, he is good but his team has been terrible so he has proved nothing as far as helping them in advancing in the playoffs go. I also realize that he is not all the single reason why, imo he should take some responsibility and help his "team" to get better rather than promoting himself.. Oh, that's right, he is all about "C.J." :irked: I don't think that anyone is taking him serious. There are just some that are tired of his act. That crap may be funny if the Bengals were a winning team but the last I checked the records......:sssh:. I do not agree with the statement bolded above. T.O, although a character, is a very emotional hard working player. He creates a stir because he wants to be surrounded by teammates that work as hard as he does on his conditioning, physique and his game. He lets his game do most of his talking lately and Chad should do the same. Chad is a great player but man he is only about one thing and that is "getting the media's attention" and acting like a goofball. He is just trying to steal some thunder here and get his name in the news. I think he is working hard in practice this training camp which is nice to see but man he burned his bridge with many Bengal Fans and we know what he is all about. Another thing, regarding his 1400 receiving yards last season, although that is a ton, I cant remember any huge games where it actually meant something. Many of his big yardage games were in losses
