I think Baker did about as good of job on what he has to work with,but on the down side,he did made some bad decisions along the way,with that said,at best a C- but no worst then a D+.JMO

Grow a pair, be a man, accept some of the blame for your own and acknowledge that everyone, including the manager can improve. My grandfather would refer to his response as chicken excrement.

I don't see any arrogance in Dusty Baker at all, never have. And how in the world do you judge someone we never get to see, unless you have satlelite tv or something.

 

I've got Fox Sports Cincy and I've saw him with the Cubs too. He just gives off the vibe to me that he is bigger than everybody else. I guess it's the toothpick flipping around I don't know.

:thumb::thumb: Exactly! As I said in my post, there is penty of blame to go around but that response told me all that I need to know about Baker.

 

I liked watching him as a ball player, he played the game hard and in the right way. There obviously has been a lot slip since then.

:thumb: The day he signed the contract to become the manager, they were HIS team. He came in knowing what they had, and it was his job to get the most out of them, and help put them in position to win. With comments like his, it's no wonder the team goes out and just goes through the motions each night. I think you can tell a lot about a manager when you give him little to work with.

He hasn't had much to work with. He was dealt a bad hand.

I don't think judging a manager on what has happened here this year means much. I'm not even sure he'll be back now that Walt is fully calling the shots. My vote would be other. "Incomplete"...
