Mossakowski has offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Colorado, Clemson, and Oregon.

Rivals ranks him as the 13th best prospect in Texas and the 5th best Pro-Style QB in the 09 class...

This is great! Things are heading in the right direction!!

This would be a nice pickup, he is regarded as one of the better remaining QB targets out there. There is a chance that he goes pro in MLB though.

Great pick up. I don't think we have offered, we might be on his list. We have the highest rated QBs for 08/09, also a Junior/sophmore waiting, and redshirts everywhere. He needs to go to Kentucky. And I never heard of him and I check daily, so I'll double check.

According to Rivals and Scout all the teams listed did offer, though Auburn withdrew their offer recently.

Here is a quote from Moss to confirm his committment...

"I made my decision," Mossakowski said. "I called up the coaches and told them my decision. I'm going to the University of Kentucky. I actually made the call last night and then I decided that I was going to sleep on it just to make sure it was the right decision. I woke up in the morning and felt the same way I did before so I called up Coach Brinson and told him."

This is great news, it makes up for the bad news on Boyd, or at least helps...

Wow, when was the last time the Cats got a top out-of-state committment over the likes of Louisville, Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Colorado, Clemson, and Oregon?

Go Cats!

A couple of those guys got other commits at the position and quit recruiting him but I know what your saying and its a big catch none the less. Very awesome pickup.

Newton was in the process of narrowing down his choices, and possibly pulling the trigger.

Maybe that was impetus enough for Moss to pull the trigger.

Big time catch for the Cats.

:dancingpa :ylsuper:

That's how I feel...

You make a very valid point and concern. Now that Moss has pulled the trigger then newton is porbably gone as well, so it would really hurt UK...

This quote reassures me though:

""[baseball] weighed in just a little bit but not too much," he said. "I've talked to their coach and I really enjoyed their coach. He's a great guy. If I get a chance to play baseball and it works out that's great but if I give it a shot and it doesn't work out, I'll just go from there."

Seems like football is his priority, but we'll see what happens when those $$$ signs appear.

So is Newton still considering Kentucky too?

This is great news btw.
