Very nice get for the Cats.

Could be a name that was needed for UK to have a possibly great for UK (maybe not for other schools) recruiting year. Hopefully this leads to other big verbals that will be needed.

I really like UK's chances now with 3 Star WR from TX Jaz Reynolds. Reynolds has UK in his final list and came the past two days for an unofficial visit with his dad.

Additionally, this gives UK added leverage with Henry Clay C Sam Simpson. Always nice having a solid QB to make a Center's life easier and earn him added praise.

If Uk lands these two players, as well as their other two top In-State prospects Ridge Wilson and Deuce Finch, and you can say it was a very successful recruiting year regardless of other players they may pick up.

Moss said in an article at TCP that his two finalist were Kentucky and Alabama.

Here is a small piece...

Coming off a junior season which saw him throw for 2,963 yards and 19 touchdowns, Mossakowski picked the Cats over scholarship offers from Louisville, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn and Clemson, among others.

He had recently narrowed his choice down to UK, Auburn, Alabama and Texas A&M, making unofficial visits to each school this summer in hopes of reaching a decision prior to the start of his senior season.

"I originally wanted to do it a couple of days before kickoff," he said, "but I just felt like the time was right. I knew that Kentucky was the right place for me."

Mossakowski said his final decision came down to UK and Alabama.

"Either one would have been a good fit for me," he said, "but I felt like God was leading me toward Kentucky. My heart was leading me to Kentucky.

Well, Alabama Larry won't like this one bit.

This has to help the Cats going forward with recruiting the rest of this class.

Actually I'm very happy he is there, look at his situation at UK/Bama that I talked about. His name is different and I couldn't place it. On Tidefans they are serious about recruiting and last nite I couldn't find him, but I couldn't spell his name right, now I wrote it down and will search again.

These kids want to play and this is a bettet fit for him to do that with the Cats. If my son visited Bama and saw the QBs list that we have, he'd made the same choice Ryan did. Again I'm pulling for him every game except one.

OK, I found some info. I was wrong he DID have an offer. In July we were talking about him but we thought he was leaning to Texas A&M/Auburn.

Most fans were surprised we were the #2 choice over the Auggies and the warbuzzard coach said :we passed on him," lots of class there. Folks over there said nice things about him and like I did wished him luck and glad we might not face him unless he plays next year.

Some things fell into place for UK, with Moss. However, they did their work and it paid off.

Like you said ALarry, Bama had already gotten a really nice QB in this class, and maybe they didn't need Moss as much at this point but still would have loved to have him.

Auburn, who I thought would have been the frontrunner, because Moss seemed tight with Franklin, got a verbal from another kid, so he was not as high a priority after.

A&M is holding out for one kid, because there is another kid they are trying to get or something like that. They got one kid and he has a brother that is supposed to be a stud, and are trying to woo him. Follow me there...LOL...so maybe Moss drops a knotch in priority.

So things worked out for UK but they worked the kid hard.

As for the future, they got a great shot at Sam Simpson, who is another very highly rated prospect in the nation.

In addition, they only have a few more rides to give out. They need a RB, DE, and probably a LB.

They may be able to knock off a couple from in-state with Ridge Wilson from Lou Central, who has eliminated UL, and the Finch kid from St Xavier.

Of the list above I think we need:

1- OL

1- RB

1- LB

1- WR

1- DE

Next season DB, DL, OL, and another RB will be the big focus

Brother, nice post. Now on Sam I know Bama has offered and I think has/will visit.
