Diamondbacks Claim Dunn off of waivers.

Featured Replies

I say Dunn refused to give his consent.

I don't believe Dunn has no trade protection...

I can't find any mention of Dunn being claimed anywhere. Even if he were, it wouldn't mean a whole lot. It is common for teams to claim players, to block others from claiming them and actually working a deal.

Heck, a few years ago the Reds claimed Andrew Jones from Atlanta.

This kind of thing happens all the time and doesn't mean anything. So much for your good source.

It may of happend, or still may happen. If he was claimed off waivers today, the Teams have 48 hours to workout a deal. And Yes, until then, the player can still play with his current Team. And most of the time these things don't get out, until it's a done deal. That's why Giles is so angry.

The good source, was actually the best source possible, if you know what I mean.

Could the source of meant that he was claimed today, and not wednesday?

All I got in the text was that he had been claimed and the Reds had untill 7 tonight to make a decision.

Huston Street was claimed off waivers by an UNK team and the team is yet to work out a deal for him. Dunn could be possible, but I can't find anything saying he was claimed.

A rival team could put a claim on him to stop him from going to a team they don't want.

Hey, there was hope for all the Dunn haters, let us enjoy the moment. :p

A friend of mine put his wife on waivers. Someone claimed her and he was more than happy not to pull her back.

Do you guys really not know how the Post Trade Deadline waivers work?

You going to tell us Dad?

You going to tell us Dad?

It was rhetorical question.

Like labs said a lot of players get placed on waivers after the trade deadline.

I got a good chuckle reading this thread and seeing everyone get so worked up.

Now that they claimed him they essentially hold his trade rights. The Reds couldn't trade him anywhere else.

This happens literally every year.
