Back in the ole days nobody care to play in spit.:D:cry:

I know some old-timers who never spit! Does anyone have a problem with someone chewing if they never spit?

No problem at all! I dont see why this is such a big deal about chewing tobacco products at sporting events. I can understand cigaratte or cigar smoke because that can effect the people around the person who is smoking. But as long as the person who is chewing is spitting into something and not on another persons feet, I dont see the problem. If it "grosses" you out than dont watch or pay attention to it so much. Hell, how can you not have a chew or dip at a baseball game, that is one of baseballs greatest traditions and always will be,whether its the players or the fans.

I agree, and furthermore there should be designated smoking sites at all facilities. They didn't mind using Tobacco tax monies to build every facility in the state but they can't seem to put aside a small space for those who enjoy a smoke now and then. Not having smoking areas at outside events is ridiculous, you get more second hand smoke from the fireworks, cannons and vehicles in the parking lot!!

I personally don't have a problem with smokers either, IF they don't exhale!

The problem I think is more that the spit is landing on the concrete and causing a clean up problem.

We (the school I teach at) were told this year that it is a state law, too. Tobacco products are not permitted on school grounds.

:thumb: That is my understanding as well.

Oh yea. I forgot those guys who open their doors at stop signs and spit out a big mouthful onto the pavement. Then I run over it with my jeep and have to wash it off. I'm sorry but school grounds are no play to have tobacco products. It also drives me crazy when I see someone in a car with four kids and they are smoking and the children have to breath it. I guess it's their kids they can subject them to it if they want. I'm an ex smoker.

Come on get real, it's a Jeep, if that's the worst thing you're running over then you're pretty much wasting your jeep. :irked:

Is this thread still going? I didnt know there was this much discusion to be had about spit.

Nope, consider this one hawked up and spat out!
