The Day I Dreaded To See Is Here.

Featured Replies

MrRk lived a very horrible life as a young boy. MrRk is adopted and his parents adopted another boy 15 months before they brought MrRk home. MrRk's brother was so mean to him and beat him most everyday. These beatings didn't stop until his brother left home. He left his wife, this was his third one and he beat each of them, and his 2 children. As it turns out he left 3 children behind, one we didn't know about until about 2 years ago. This man has been gone for over 25 years and MrRk has raised his children and this man's grandchild calls MrRk her grandfather.

So after 25 years of quite it going to come to an end today. MrRk's grandchild took it upon herself to find this man and find him she did. She found him in a bar and now he is coming in today to see one of his children. One of his sons will not meet him and he says he's not the father of the girl ( oh he is because she looks just like him).

MrRk's mother lives with us and this man wants to see his mom. So MrRk has agreed for him to come here to see her and this just makes me sick. I told MrRk last night it's as if we are opening up our backdoor and inviting the devil into our home. We are not planning on being here and it just creeps me out that this horrible man will be in our home looking at our stuff. Also they want to take MrRk's mom to a friends house for somekind of reunion. Since MrRk's mother can't ride in any other car beside MrRk's PT crusier this mean that this man will be riding in our car.

We decided that it was best that we not be around today so we are going out of town for a while. I can't begin to tell you just how upset I am to know that this person, who was so mean to my husband, will be in our home and riding in our car.

I have tried to talk myself into feeling good about this situation but I can't forget the hurt his cause the man I love more than life.

I'm speechless. I have no clue what to say.

But I feel for you guys.

(May God make something good out of it.)

You don't know me...but I could serve up some nice knuckle sandwiches for you....

I really feel for you, RebelK. It's not like you need the stress and worry at this time in your life. I hope that things go well and this guy just fades back into the background after today.

Prayers are with you and your family. The whole thing made me feel worried inside while I was reading it so I can't imainge how you all feel!

What a horrible situation. However, I think I would stay home and face this guy. He's a guest in your home for the day and then it is over. You rule your roost. I know it may be tough to face him, but your not kids anymore and no one can control you in your own home if you don't let them.

I'm speechless. I have no clue what to say.

Ditto, and RebelK and Mr. RK prayers from the Ramblers are going up for you as we speak. May God bless.

Nothing more I can add then what these two have already said. God bless you and MrRk.

Why in the world would this grandchild open up such a can of worms?

I definately feel for you.

Having gone through a somewhat similar scenario with Mrs. Hearsay, the only comfort I can offer is the hope found in the parable of the Prodigal Son. What if you were to slaughter the fatted calf for this man?
