August 2, 200818 yr Author This guy is a freakin' lunatic. Yes he is a freakin' lunatic. Everyone, except me and MrRk says that he could have changed..................well probably not. He was mean as a child, mean as a young man and mean as a man. He beat every wife he ever had and he beat the heck out of MrRk everyday....so chances are he hasn't changed. When his son talked to him, on the phone, for the first time since he, the child, was 4 years old, the very first thing he did was to start ragging on MrRk. He said that he didn't want to see MrRk which was fine with us. The only reason MrRk agreed to let them have their visit here was because where they wanted to visit didn't have any AC and it is so darn hot out there and his mom is 92 years old. As I said, it was a tough decision but one he made with his mom in his thoughts. I, of course, wouldn't have been as kind and told all of them I wouldn't. If it had been left up to me, I would have taken his mother somewhere, sat her down and then they could have walked in had a meal and then called us to pick her up. Well this day is finally over and he told them that he would be back labor day...what is that date...we will plan a long long weekend......

August 3, 200818 yr It was way to hot to have a 92 year old person out in this heat today. Bless you both.
August 3, 200818 yr Tough as it was, it sounds like you did the right thing. It usually IS tough to do the right thing. Now change the locks in your house and be long gone on Labor Day!
August 3, 200818 yr Now change the locks in your house and be long gone on Labor Day! Sage advice! :thumb:
August 3, 200818 yr OH, RK, I am so sorry that all of this happened. I hope this is the last time for him to come. I know that it was really hard on you.

August 3, 200818 yr RebelK, I believe that you and Mr.RK did the right thing, the both of you showed what kind of class that you are made of and were the bigger person. May God bless you both and I hope that you never have to deal with this again.

However, remember, there is only so much "give" you can do, even for a 92 year old woman. Bullies who live life by manipulation are usually very good at it. Dont allow him to take advantage of you. Stand strong. Edited August 3, 200818 yr by gold sunrise Rule #8
August 3, 200818 yr Author Last night was a difficult night for us both. Neither one of use got any sleep. I kept listening for sounds in the house and I couldn't take my eyes off our bedroom window. I know I'll have to get over this but this whole experience has just creeped me out. I think he's suppose to go home today (he lives under a rock in Ohio somewhere - forgive me that wasn't right) and I hope he gets going early and doesn't stop here again. I know that MrRk is still disturbed because he's already up and out in his garage. I think we'll go to church in a bit and then I think I'll just hang with him today reassuring him. Please pray that this is the last we see of him for a while and please ask God to ease MrRk's heart from this burden that's been his for all these years.

It seems as though you married a wonderful, considerate man that has had a sad childhood. He is lucky to have you, too. I will pray for peace for both of you.
August 4, 200818 yr Author This horrible horrible man wasn't in town for 24 hours and he has this family buzzing around like a pack of bees. MrRk and I just spent 3 hours with the son who didn't want to see his father and I just feel so sorry for him. He is so upset and scared that this man will come back into their lives. He doesn't want his mom to find out because he knows that she will be so upset just knowing he was around somewhere. He told us that he is so upset that his brother brought him back that he doesn't want anything else to do with is brother. The two sons both have really good jobs and the also own a business together. The son that we talked with today told his brother that he was not to have this man inside their business. I won't say what kind of business they have but they have a lot of money tied up in their stuff and now he told us that his brother took the dad to see their stuff. The son who brought his dad back to town has shown him where everyone lives, has given him everyone's telephone number and the son we met with is scared silly. He told us that if this man comes back and he thinks he will, then he will just have to relocate. I heard MrRk's mother give her grandson permission to give him our phone number. Oh good gravy....our phone number is nonpublished for this very reason, MrRk didn't want this person finding the number and now she gives it to him.:irked::irked: I feel as if I am living in a whirl wind. I sure wished the granddaughter had never made that phone call.
August 4, 200818 yr Sounds as if the intimidation he was so well known for has lived on to this day. Also sounds like it is still working for him. He can only hurt you if you let him. You have to have a talk with Mr. RK's mother and tell her how you feel (not easy since she is 92). Same goes with the son who brought him back into town. Change your phone number, change the locks and encourage everyone else to do the same. Very sad that one man can make so many people upset, especially to the point that someone wants to move.
