People will not vote for Obama despite what they say.

McCain will win and everyone will act like its a big surprise, knowing in their heart they did not vote for him.

What makes you think that?

I want McCain to win, but I really hold out little hope that it will happen.

Obama will win.

Hope I am wrong though.

I think Obama will win. Call me crazy, but have you ever listened to Sylvia Brown on Montel Williams show? She predicted last fall Obama would beat Hilliary in late spring by a very narrow margin. She also predicted Obama will be the next President. I've kept this prediction in my mind just to see what happens.

I picked Obama (to my undying apathy), but honestly, Ron Paul and other third party candidates have a very strong chance of taking away votes from him. So really, I'm not so sure. Most republicans will vote for McCain... that's the biggest strength of Republicans, is that they almost always vote for the Republican candidate; even if it's Cobra Commander.

As long as he doesn't waste money on building a massive laser in order to carve his face into the moon I might consider it depending on who was running against him.

It's so sad that you are right.

I guarantee that there are a lot of people out there who are deciding between Barr, Paul, and Obama, even though McCain is smack in the middle of them on every issue but the war. The issues have become irrelevant for many- all the matters is the party and the way each one is portrayed.

McCain is done!

What makes you think that?

I also think there will be tons of people that say they voted for Obama but didn't really do so.

CC's biggest weakness is his biggest focus: the military. He puts so much money, time, and energy into it, and yet out of all the lasers and bullets fired at GI:Joe, how many actually made contact? If he put some more effort towards basic training and how to handle a weapon, I'd say he'd have more respect from me.

Voting for McCain, but I think Obama will win...

After 8 long years, a questionable war, and an oncoming recession, I think the people are afraid of anyone considered "Bush Jr."

Also, Obama must have turned on his TV and saw that 2/3rd's of Americans want to drill cause he is suddenly ok with drilling some. That might seal the deal.

One thing about the Rasmussen Poll...and most polls for that matter are taken of what they consider likely voters...which does not take into affect all the newer voters that registered during the primaries. As to who the newer voters gives the advantage too...who knows, but this could be an election that the polls don't match the outcome either way with the newer voters that will vote in their first election.
