The point of that comment was to show that come that would denounce her for having an abortion would also be the first to whipser about her behind raised hands and to look down their noses at her...I have seen it happen. Very "christian" thing to do in God's house.

I think we should educate them and give them a chance to at least protect the world from illigitimate kids running around.

Rocket, you've bought into the Secular Left's propaganda that human beings have no control overthemselves. Individuals have no patience, no ability to sacrifice, no foresight, nothing. We are beings that are entirely driven by only our immediate, physical desires.

However, I find condoms and all artificial birth control to be a moral evil. It is NOT your right to throw these immoral items everywhere around me, my children (in the future), or my little brothers. You may suffocate your own children with the amount of condoms you give them in your home, and you may start a private school that encourages having sex as frequently as they want, with all the birth control you can give them. But not in the public forum.

 

I think a fair compromise is to preach abstinence as well as natural forms of birth control, such as fertility awareness.

 

The consequence of kids being surrounded by artificial birth control is that they begin to think that having pre-marital sex with no intention of pro-creation is the right thing to do. I find this immoral and even against natural law.

 

Regardless, it is not right that the secular left is allowed to force their pseudo-morality down the throats of the American youth.

I'm going to have to think about this one a bit more, but my first thoughts are:

 

1) The schools would do well to figure out how to teach math, science and reading to kids. Their recent track record in that department doesn't inspire me with a large amount of faith in their ability to cure societal ills.

 

2) I've said this before, and I'm saying it again: I send my kids to school to be educated, not for the school to raise them for me.

How the heck is fertility awareness going to keep your little brothers from catching STD's? You and they may wait until being married to have sex but you are in the minority. I would venture to say the 70% that HT threw out is pretty accurate.

What is all this secular left stuff? You don't want your kids to have condoms or birth control,then have these schools send home permission slips, bam, problem solved, divide the kids with naive parents, from the kids who's parents are realist and teach 2 diff sex ed classes. My school divided boys and girls so this shouldn't be an issue.

What about the "parents" that do not attend these workshops? What about those kids? The vast majority in this case would be from poor homes. Those children are most likely the ones that will end up on public assistance. If their only education in this realm is supposed to come from parents, then I guess these kids are out of luck by being born to the wrong parents?
