July 30, 200818 yr RM, lets get a girl opinion on here. Do you agree with most of what is being said minus the last 10 post.

July 30, 200818 yr Author I applaud the people that make it out of HS abstinent. Many many many people wish they didn't make some of the mistakes they did. I am not trying to promote it or say its the cool thing to do just its the reality of what is going on now days and I think it is because it isn't being taught right. How should it be taught?

Do you agree with most of what is being said minus the last 10 post.  Let me tell you, I sweated every day of my kids high school years, not knowing. Part of me didn't want to know, part of me felt like I should ask. I'm going to agree with the initial post, based on what I do know.
July 30, 200818 yr Guys this is the first time I have had a smile on my face while posting in the P&R forum...lets try to keep it open.
July 30, 200818 yr I'm just saying I just don't see how else they could teach it than how they are now, its naive to think no kid is going to do this

July 30, 200818 yr That is why instead of teaching fear, we need to teach facts.. I agree with that. When I was in HS they used fear a lot. It works for the first day or 2 after you hear in then it wears off. I don't really know or have an idea how to teach it now but it just doesn't seem like the way they are going about it is working thats all.
July 30, 200818 yr That is why instead of teaching fear, we need to teach facts.. Word:thumb: Simply because this is a parent's job and not the schools. If, society is going to say separation of church and state than don't be forcing the views of sex on children whose parents do not agree with the stance of protected sex. Teach the facts, gooch, to the parents and then let them make the decision on what is taught to their child. But don't give a 11 year old boy or girl information that they are not nearly ready to understand and comprehend what it really means.

One of the problems is that the schools are giving them one message that is the right message. but the message they are hearing everywhere else is different and sounds a lot cooler but lies.
