I agree entirely and have never seen a program where this was not the case.

Speaking from my experience, we had a program called Choosing to Wait. One of the religion teachers would lead the program, but it was mainly done with Seniors. The basis of the program was that the seniors and religion teacher would teach the freshman about the consequences of having premarital sex through various skits, talks, games, etc. I'm not really sure how effective it is as I've never been exposed to how it's done elsewhere.

Don't worry, I won't. I believe in personal responsibility for ones actions, not making excuses. In that situation I would endeavor to assist my child in any way that I am able while at the same time expecting my child to get him or herself into position to be able to fufill their responsibility. If you re-read my post I said I have no problem with teaching about birth control methods, I have a problem with the distribution of them.

 

And I will make sure that my child has the knowlege that they need to make proper decisions and if and when WE decide that they need birth control, then I will take care of it rather then expecting a school to do it.

 

All in all I would evaluate your approach as a way to abrogate parental responsibility to a school and I want no part of that.

I have no kids, but if I did I would do my best to educate them, but in no way am I saying that I want the school to teach them everything, h owever I know a lot of kids will not approach their parents about putting them on birth control. The kids that I support getting free birth control are the ones that either are too scared to talk to their parents or the one's whose parents are too lazy to even care about their kids.

Once again, lets keep religion out of schools.

Why does pro-life fall under the category of religion? I am aware of several non-christians who are against the murder of the unborn. Also, you would not be invited to speak at my church so that is a non-issue.
