July 26, 200818 yr Evidently, according to channel 18, Curtis Pulley was arrested in Louisville last month for marijuana charges and again this week for traffic violations. Wonder how UK has keep this so secret? Looks like the QB job is settled. http://www.wlextv.com/global/story.asp?s=8737818
July 26, 200818 yr Author And the pot smoking tables have turned... It appears old man Brooks is just better at hiding it...
July 26, 200818 yr Apparently Brooks had no knowledge. Before folks say that's impossible, don't forget they're not in session right now, and I doubt they run police records every week on their players.
July 26, 200818 yr I'd like to withdraw my question from the other thread asking of CP has shown any lack of leadership qualities.
July 26, 200818 yr He was arrested on the traffic charge and given a citation (not arrested) for the marijuana charge. Interesting. Of course, it's also the same state where a speeding ticket costs you $185 and possession of marijuana is a $50 fine.
July 26, 200818 yr I have heard Pulley has had problems with structure, and this dates back to his frosh year at UK. Leadership? I don't see how Brooks can trust him to lead the team. I would suspect some sort of suspension is in order, and I would demote him to the bottom of the QB depth chart, and tell him to take some reps at receiver. Some rumblings out there that a non-starter may have gotten into trouble recently.
July 26, 200818 yr I don't look for Brooks to let this slide. I don't know the extent of it but it certainly doesn't look good and it wouldn't suprise me to to see him (Brooks) put Pulley off of the team. Brooks just seems to me to be the type that will not let a lot of things go. I believe that I would send Pulley on his way, whatever he did or didn't do it certainly wasn't considering his teammates, coaches or the University. A pretty selfish act from the kid imo.

I hope that he doesnt show him the door. A football team is supposed to be a family and you dont kick someone out of the family for making a mistake. It needs to be addressed and corrected. There may come a time for him to be removed from the team if violations persist but lets dont give up on him after a bad decision!!
July 26, 200818 yr It's decision after decision after decision that is bad, though. This is not the first "mistake" he has made.
