July 24, 200818 yr PERSONALLY PARTICIPATED 1. Beating Rod Woodson & Chris Dishman at the same time in the 60meter dash at the Indoor TAC Championships at IU. I assume you mean that Rod was carrying Chris, right? Seriously, that's impressive.
July 24, 200818 yr I assume you mean that Rod was carrying Chris, right? Seriously, that's impressive. Thanks! Before the race, that is what I was hoping for or maybe giving me a little headstart anyway!!! The only reason I beat them is that they underestimated me (didn't know who I was) and I ran one of my best races ever knowing I had to (I knew of them as being standouts at Purdue). 9 out of 10 times, I am convinced they would have beaten me, ... but that one day I got lucky! I guess even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every once in a while!
July 24, 200818 yr 1. Blocking a shot at the end of the first overtime against Allen Central that would have won the game for them my sophomore year of high school. 2. Getting dunked on in Memorial Colliseum at the 5th 3rd Bank Tournament by Marquis Estill with Tubby and over half of the UK basketball team watching on. Right before Scott County and Catholic were ready to play each other, so needless to say, it was a packed house. 3. Scoring 42 my Jr. year against Hazard in a summer league game. 4. Fraternity intramurals, takeing SAE into 3 overtimes before getting RIPPED by an over the back call with .5 seconds on the clock!!! :madman: 5. Scoring 39 in an intramural game and blowing the team out by around 60 points.
July 24, 200818 yr I think I hold an aau scoring record at the KBA for the 12 or 13 year olds for most points in a game and most points for the tournament. I havent checked the record book in like 2years so it may have been broken. I played against Darius Miller in highschool. It wasen't really a great moment though since we lost by 30. I watched a guy I hated on my team get dunked on and in the process his headband got knocked off. It was awesome, I never seen someone get there headband knocked off after a dunk. I dont remember the guy who dunked on him but he went small D-1. I had 28 & 10 against Franklin Co. in some kind of classic and got a cool plague for MVP of the game.

July 24, 200818 yr Mine was pure skill, but they both look the same on the scorecard. May look the same on the scorecard but I seriously doubt they looked anything alike on the way to the green. I topped it and it bounced/rolled all the way. Embarrassing, actually, but it still counted. It left the poor guy I was playing with scratching his head.
July 24, 200818 yr GT's is crowd-surfing at Rupp Arena....with a camera that's not recording. I figured your would be calling your stat line on the bus before the game... Edited July 24, 200818 yr by gametime
July 24, 200818 yr Scored game winning TD against Beechwood a long time ago. I should mention that the above, while thrilling at the time, does not compare to watching my children have their own success on the athletic fields. Not close.
July 24, 200818 yr Hitting my first & only Home Run when I was in Little League against the best pitcher in the county. He was throwing like 70 MPH in 6th grade. I mean all you had to do was connect the bat with the ball & it would fly but still. The guy I hit it off of is a pitcher at Morehead St. University. His name is Quentin Morgan. Winning a District Title in Football when I was a Senior. - Set the school record for most kick returns for a TD in a season. Getting to play basketball at Rupp Arena during the H.S. pre-season when I was a Senior. Getting 3rd place in my region in the 100m dash running against Davd Jones/Belfry (now UK) who was in UNLACED HIGH TOPS!! & Chris Brown of Knox Central when I was a Junior.
July 24, 200818 yr I'll tell one about my late grandfather. When he was in high school, he played against the John Wooden, of UCLA fame, coached Dayton team. Many people don't kow Dayton HS was his first head coaching job. My grandfathers Holmes Castle(as it was known then) team beat Wooden and the Dayton squad. He also was a Lou Gherig day at Yankee Stadium when the Iron Horse retired due to illness.
July 24, 200818 yr My biggest sports thrills are having the opportunity to coach my children in sports.....regardless of our record. I have coached winless as well as undefeated seasons.
