SAE is number 1, baby!

Blah Blah Blah!!! You can thank the one and only Dave Cox for that championship! I still hate him to this day!

Hitting my first & only Home Run when I was in Little League against the best pitcher in the county. He was throwing like 70 MPH in 6th grade. I mean all you had to do was connect the bat with the ball & it would fly but still. The guy I hit it off of is a pitcher at Morehead St. University. His name is Quentin Morgan.

Winning a District Title in Football when I was a Senior. - Set the school record for most kick returns for a TD in a season.

Getting to play basketball at Rupp Arena during the H.S. pre-season when I was a Senior.

Getting 3rd place in my region in the 100m dash running against Davd Jones/Belfry (now UK) who was in UNLACED HIGH TOPS!! & Chris Brown of Knox Central when I was a Junior.

vs Middlesboro for you Yellowjacket fans...:D

Several memories and instances, here are a few....

Most Frustrating - Son was batting in a youth State Tournament, fouls ball behind me. I turn my back, to walk after foul ball....Smack, HR to left and I never saw it, but thank goodness for video.

Little League - Hit 1st HR ever, at field. Pitched a no-hitter, same game and received the ball, signed by the gentlemen that the field is named after. Still have, after all these years.

Daughter - Was named an All-American dancer and selected to perform, at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. The smile on her face, when she told me was so precious.

Son - Has played in 6, different State Tournaments in Baseball. His first Varsity start, as an 8th grader, was a perfect game.

What grade is your son in? What colleges are looking at him? I bet he had an awesome ERA that year!

He'll be a Junior and he's getting some attention.
I think I hold an aau scoring record at the KBA for the 12 or 13 year olds for most points in a game and most points for the tournament. I havent checked the record book in like 2years so it may have been broken.

I played against Darius Miller in highschool. It wasen't really a great moment though since we lost by 30.

I watched a guy I hated on my team get dunked on and in the process his headband got knocked off. It was awesome, I never seen someone get there headband knocked off after a dunk. I dont remember the guy who dunked on him but he went small D-1.

I had 28 & 10 against Franklin Co. in some kind of classic and got a cool plague for MVP of the game.

That doesnt sound so cool

:scared::lol: No, it don't.

:lol: Was it black or green?

I'll tell one about my late grandfather.

When he was in high school, he played against the John Wooden, of UCLA fame, coached Dayton team. Many people don't kow Dayton HS was his first head coaching job. My grandfathers Holmes Castle(as it was known then) team beat Wooden and the Dayton squad. He also was a Lou Gherig day at Yankee Stadium when the Iron Horse retired due to illness.

Not as uncommon as you think... John Wooden's record in his first year coaching was something like 6-13...

His first year at Dayton would be the only time he would have a losing record (6-11)

This is easy.

Beating Russell in double overtime in the playoffs without our starting QB. They had beat us by 40 at home earlier in the year.

Going undefeated my Soph year.

Being down in the Regional Semis with no timeouts left. We threw a kid out of bounds to stop the clock. We turned around and blocked their punt. We threw a hook + latteral and scored from 60 yards out with 4 seconds left and won the Regional Semi's.

Playing Mayfield in the final four and making it a dogfight.

Stoping Mason Co on the 3 yd line my Jr year to win the Region.
