That field looks great. Are thier any Kenton County schools under the district without turf now? I know Dixie has it, now Simon, how about Scott?

Scott does not have turf.

No, Scott still has the Bermuda grass which personally is better to play on than turf but turf holds up longer so thats why all the transition to turf. Scott I think will be getting turf within 1-2 years.

I could be wrong but I had heard the track was going to be a regulation size located down in the pit with the soccer field.

I'm pretty sure that this phase will not include a regulation size track. I do know that the last I heard is that in a few years when they do move the soccer field they will also put in a full size track. (Basically just reiterating what D-Series said.)

Talked to Coach Marksberry a month or so ago, he'd said that the track would be re done, but due to space, it still would not be regulation. I suppose this could change, but that was the word as of a month or so ago.

Just to reiterate what SF41 posted, the first thing I noticed was the lack of space for a regulation track.

New regualtion track is in future phase to be "over the hill" where the practice fields are now.

Wow! The field looks great! Great job SK. I wish all schools would realize how important athletics are to a community. Did anyone ever say how much a field like that cost? I heard they were about $500,000.

Last I talked to coach Marksberry I believe he said the track was going to be redone at regulation size around the football field. Could be wrong, but that's what I remember.
