June 22, 200818 yr Boomer/Eddie Brown/Cris Collinsworth or Carson/TJ/CJ? I know the younger posters cannot answer this because they probably never saw the Wyche Bengals in their heyday. Today, there's no question in my mind and its the Boomer/Downtown/Cadillac team.

June 22, 200818 yr Take as the best players? Take to court? Take to the Super Bowl to watch other teams play? I'd take Ken Anderson/Dan Ross/Chris Collinsworth over the other two mentioned.
June 22, 200818 yr Boomer/Eddie Brown/Cris Collinsworth over all other possibilities. :thumb: I agree.
June 22, 200818 yr Author Take as the best players? Take to court? Take to the Super Bowl to watch other teams play? I'd take Ken Anderson/Dan Ross/Chris Collinsworth over the other two mentioned. Since the current Bengals have no TE to speak of, my debate centered around the qb and wideouts. Dan Ross was outstanding.
June 22, 200818 yr Did these guys ever lead the league in receptions, yards, or TD's? I am not being a smart aleck, just wondering.
June 24, 200818 yr Collinsworth and Brown only played together for four seasons. The only one of the 4 seasons in which they made the playoffs was the Super Bowl year of 1988. That season, while Brown had a monster season, Collinsworth only had 13 receptions. In 85 and 86, they were both good with a combined 2000+ receiving yards each year. In 87, Collinsworth played only a few games. I think today, the numbers of the two trios are very similar, but with TJ and Chad back this year, I feel that they can sway the debate in their favor.
June 24, 200818 yr Until they (Carson/CJ/TJ) get to a superbowl I think it should be hands down... Boomer/Downtown/Cadillac

Kind of hard to discount a Super Bowl season if you're a diehard Bengals fan.
June 24, 200818 yr Absolutely NO question..... Boomer/ Brown and Collingsworth. No comparison. :thumb:
June 24, 200818 yr I am too young to have even seen Boomer/Eddie Brown/Cris Collinsworth, but I do know that they WON football games. We can't way that about Carson/TJ/CJ except for 1 year.
