Kobe Bryant or Lebron James?

The fact that you despise Kobe makes your opinion mean very little to me RP. You as well LMB.

No I think Kobe Bryant is an unbelievable talent. I am impressed with how he has developed fundamentally over the years. And I appreciate his game. I also think he has grown up a lot. I do typically route against him though. But I do not despise him. I am just trying to point out some legitimate points here IMO. I think hes the 2nd best player in the NBA.

Oh your right! Everyone this thread is over. Lebron was playing against a bunch of "sleep walkers", thats why it went 7 games. I guess the Celtics just were not really trying, like in that game 7 vs the Cavs, when Piecre had 41 points and the Cavs had the lead in the 4th. Yeah they were just "sleep walking". Atleast Lebron didn't loose by 39 points.

If Lebron had a supporting cast like Kobe then he would have a ring.

Sleep walking, yes thats the word I was looking for. They slept walked through the first two rounds and turned it on when they needed to, to clinch those series. Then they all but dominated DET and LAL because thats when the playoffs really began for them. They did enough just to win the first 2 rounds. The final two rounds they were rested and dominated.

Lol....

Kobe is the better shooter. LeBron is the better PLAYER. He scores, leads, shares, recounds, and plays defense. LeBron WILL go down in history as the better player.

^The guy who wins the most titles will likely get the nod...

After this series, I want to say LeBron, but I know better than to base my decision off one series.

LeBron is easier to shut down then Kobe, I believe. Kobe just had a bad series coupled with the fact that Gasol and Odom did not do much.

If I was starting a franchise and had to pick one player, I would pick Lebron. Kobe is great, but I just think Lebron is younger and will have more success than Kobe in the league from this day forward. --- I bet Lebron took notice of all the commentary annointing Kobe the best player on the planet during the playoffs. If he needed any motivation that should provide it.

---- Also, I agree with some of the previous posters.... There is no way Kobe can be compared to MJ. People just don't remember how dominate he was in all phases of the game. Kobe and his 40% shooting just doesn't compare. Jordan was more athletic (see highlights and dunk competitions), a better defender, had a higher shooting percentage, scored more points, made more big shots and won 6 rings despite leaving the game for 2 years in his prime. No comparison.

Kobe is better right now, however I feel like James is still getting better and Kobe is in decline.

I think the scary thing with Lebron James has never had much of a supporting cast. I think he'd be really amazing if he had a Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom on his team, even though they didn't play well in the finals.

Kobe just won the MVP.

I believe Kobe is still better overall player, but I think Lebron is closing in on him. The torched could be passed in a few years.

Ask LeBron who is better...even he says Kobe.

It is also the prevailing opinion around the NBA. It's Kobe.
